I’ve been on 13 Disney cruises and the first day is always the worst! Don’t let that discourage you from going on other ships. The Wish is a HUGE ship. I love the Magic and Wonder because those ships are smaller so you have less crowds

If you’ve never said out of port Canaveral, you actually cross the Gulf Stream and that is why it’s worse leaving from this port. This is what I was told by the crew on my first cruise.

I always stay in the adult areas. I never go to the sail away party and yes embarkation days are the worst.

We stayed the night before our last DCL cruise at the Hyatt at the airport in Orlando and took Disney transportation from there. It was so easy. We checked in to the cruise at the hotel before we left and just had to go through security at the terminal. We’re going to drive from Disney property next time in a rental car and I’m nervous about the process of parking and checking in there. Our flight home is so late we don’t want to use the Disney bus again because last time we ended up at the airport for 8 hrs before our flight to come back home.

1st Disney cruises are overwhelming. Disney’s muster drills are borderline horrific. We missed the sail away because people being late and then the crowd up to it it was awful. I’ve been in 2 Disney cruises and unfortunately I’m looking at other cruise lines now. It’s just too crowded.

I to am sensitive to motion sickness specially on cruise ships. When we sailed on the Wish in May I used SHIP-EEZ patches and they worked great.

I used to work for a cruise line and can confirm embarkation is the worst. If possible, stay away from Guest Services too because it's a zoo. But looks like you guys did great!

Yes, the big crowds first day are normal. It slows down after that. If you really want to see something go to Cabanas on embarkation day 😂

Yes! The crowds the first day are very overwhelming (especially on our very first cruise!) I hope it feels better.. the other days everyone starts doing their own things 😊 so crowds “disperse” more!
