When it comes to surfing in Sri Lanka and planning a Sri Lanka surf trip, my favourite destination has to be Ahangama. It's got a bit busier this season (the words certainly got out!) but this slice of the Sri Lankan coastline has heaps of super fun waves on offer, with something for all levels of surfer.
So whether you're looking for a Sri Lanka surf camp experience to get to grip with the basics, or your an experienced surfer looking for the punchier waves in the area - here's my rundown of my favourite Ahangama surf spots to add to your trip itinerary.

Glad you enjoyed the video! For SUPs it's really going to depend on the crowd factor - but I'd say Marshmellows an a couple of the reefs in the centre of town would be do able.

I was wondering the same thing if there are better places to go with a SUP? I was scanning the video, but didn’t see any stand-up paddlers?

I haven't seen any SUPs out there on my recent visits, but I'd say For SUPs it's really going to depend on the crowd factor - but Marshmellows an a couple of the reefs in the centre of town would be do able.
