Daechwita mv was filmed at the Daejanggeum theme park in Yongin which is basically a large film set that contains replicas of various old buildings like palaces and pavilions and other structures, an old market, jail, village and even large warehouse-like buildings with studios within. While we were there we were fortunate to be able to watch the shooting of a drama called "A Flower in Prison" and got to take photos with the lead actress and the extras :) You can also rent costumes there.

The King character is connected to his persona from his first mixtape “Agust D”. In tracks like “Agust D”, “Tony Montana”, “Give it to Me” he showed a more angry, greedy, and arrogant side of himself like the mad King in Daechwita. Essentially the commoner character plots to kill the King with the help of the butcher that appears at the beginning of the MV (in the Joseon era butchers were also executioners). Personally I took it as him saying he wants to kill that monster-like persona that he built around himself in the past. There is a behind the scenes of the MV on BangtanTV, Yoongi was saying he doesn’t know if the King died in the end but maybe we will find out in his next mixtape.

I think he killed the old suga, the king, his shadow maybe who got very greedy at point which left a scar on his today's face. And he wanted to clear that out so the man who cut suga's rope in the end is actually the butcher from the market..they both made the plan to kill the king! So when time came the butcher let suga free and suga then killed his shadow/old greedy self if I am not wrong! He did say that he achieved goals, got money, fame, clothes and now just wants to keep his foot on the ground so I guess he wants to be modest and humble now instead of being greedy like the king. To me, this is the BEST VIDEO of the year. Nothing comes close. It has it all. The story of 2 Kings. One becomes tyrant of a king and the other has lived the life of a villager. Just the opening scene when you over look the courtyard and there are headless bodies lying under sheets in the courtyard, with a box next to them. Sheet covered heads hang from the tyrant kings balcony. The villager proceeds to announce that he is there to take his rightful place. But the Tyrant King controls the village and put the Villager in bonds. The Villager in his last moments cries to the people, Daechwita, Daechwita play it loud Daechwita. You see the other villagers bobbin' their heads a long with the Villager that was about to executed. They know that he is the true King! At the last moment the executioner cuts the villagers ropes and you realize that the executioner is the butcher from the village, as he hands the villager a gun. Then the villager shoots the tyrant KING. The Villager can now take his rightful place as King.

The "August D" mv is way more dangerous cuz he's talking shits there and the flow is lit. You need to react to that song asap.
