As an Ethiopian; I tell my good Nigerian friends in the last four decades that as Nigeria goes; goes the rest of Africa. Ever since reading Azikwe's autobiography entitled My Odyssey and as I got to know Nigeria; I understand it is a massive effort to get Nigerians agree on national proririties. It is made up of various peoples with regional and ethnic interests. But making Nigeria self sufficient in feeding itself from its own agricultural sector; should be everyone's interest. As Nigeria rises; we rise too. Keep up this hard work. We will get there together.

Why not see the bright side of this piece and awaken your senses to potentiate this information to your own good. There is huge money to make especially if you not the type that see Agri Business as one for dirty people. Cultivation, Livestock e.t.c. Brainwash your self expecting from the government and cultivate a culture in Agric and see yourself becoming one of the richest successful entrepreneurs your family and nation would be proud of.

tuforu4 awful idea. vegetables made with that system do not draw up any trace minerals that our body's need. We need the all the minerals that come from soil grown plants. The body needs it to regenerate damaged and sick dna cells. Africa has tons of farmable land. Just need more tech, which the ppl lobbying against electricity make more difficult.

All these agricultural development are just plans without Power supplies. Good water supply, Transportation.and food preservation system. All these are components to development of Agriculture. Buhari Administration don't have the visition of this undertaking. He can't give what he don't have. The system is very corrupt for any honest job.

one of the biggest problem of agriculture in Nigeria is the buying power of the citizens. most ppl have very low disposable income to buy food at correct prices. and those who do, are yet to align their priorities. so it's most times easier to buy cheaper imported ones which are substandard and filled with carcinogens.

Because they're concentrating on export without considering local demand. Like training to disconnected individuals to participate in this agricultural economy.
