Purdy is the perfect definition of a good quarterback who you should be willing to trade for someone better. If you had Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen on the 49ers with Shanahan they would probably be undefeated and score 60 per game.

It’s more that Meyer was so clueless about pro football that he didn’t know who Aaron Donald was and he was such a bad leader that he regularly used physical assault in his coaching. Not exactly ideal to get a player to adjust to the more complex scheme and more intense pace of NFL football if your hc doesn’t even know who the best defensive player in the league is

I could be wrong but I don’t think the 9ers pick up the phone for a purdy trade. They believe he’s their guy and they know spending multiple first round picks on a QB doesn’t always work. Look at previous drafts how many of the QBs were hits, it’s a very low percentage

I'm he's only 17-4 regular season and 4-2 in playoffs with 2 NFC championship games and a super bowl. As 1 of the most effective QB in 23. All at like a million a year for next 2 seasons. Of course they'd trade for a 4th rounder like Colin wants so bad as well as Nick Wrong

As a Rams fan I would trade Stafford this may be one of his last years playin.

The same oline that's not even top 10 in pass protection by any metric? St brown? The 4th round pick he made relevant and who the gm who drafted him thought the levi had more talent? DeShaun is the third-best all-around raw QB talent behind Mahomes and Allen. I could put Murray in that class but he lacks the size, and Stroud is also close.

Unpopular opinion. Joe Burrow is living off of a reputation from a play off run three years ago where his defense was lights out and he himself was far from perfect. His play 2 seasons ago was the best he’s put together but to see him get constantly ranked ahead of some guys who have achieved more recently is a little annoying.

I wonder this too. I think, THINK Joe is a great qb. Better than Allen or Mahomes? No, not even close. Burrow has had too many luxuries throughout his career and the only time he has won in his playoff career is when teams had major meltdowns. The Chiefs in 2021 had the worst game ive ever seen them play, in 2022, the Bills no one showed up outside of Josh Allen who was their leading passer and rusher. The raiders and Titans who lets be honest do we all think are good? No. 5 tds in 7 playoff games is terrible. Especially considering his turnovers in said games. Hes not clutch. Its his defense coming to save the day.

IMO, Burrow is really good but he’s a TAD overrated for one simple reason: He’s the only non-Brady QB to beat Mahomes in a playoff game. He’s also beaten both Mahomes and Allen in road playoff games.

Nah. Lawrence belongs in the second group. You’d listen to trade offers for him. Purdy belongs in the first group, and Russ will belong in the first group after this season. Just four years ago, he was the only QB whose team WOULDN’T have pick up the phone if Mahomes was offered in a trade. That’s how far down one hand injury year, one horrible year, and one subpar year have taken him down. The Seahawks would’ve been the only team in the league that would’ve said, “We’re good.” That was before Russ became so unhappy and forced his way out of Seattle. Look at the haul the Seahawks turned down from the Bears in efforts to try to salvage the relationship between Russ and Pete. Lousy Denver experience or not, you can’t make Russ a second-tier dude. Truth be told, the Steelers made a mistake in bringing in Justin Fields because he’s bringing more controversy than value (not his fault). The Steelers wouldn’t listen to an offer for Russ at all right now. They want him!
