All I heard was that he NEEDs this ! He obviously is craving a “normal” life. When he said he didn’t want to have to think or hear about Mom and Dad everyday that broke my heart. He just wants to go fly and be like other kids his own age. Savannah, you’ve done an incredible job, I can’t imagine how hard it is for you to have him leave! At least he realizes if he wants to stay there he has to work hard and not get in trouble. Many don’t even think about that they just live in the moment. Grayson is ready , and that means you and your parents have done an amazing job raising him. ❤️🙏🏼

I don’t understand why she is giving him grief about wanting to start a semester early whenever she graduated high school a whole year early so she could start college a year early. It seems like she is not being fair and doesn’t want to grant him the same opportunities that were afforded to her. Also, I’ve heard her mention several times about being a single parent with a single household income, yet her single household income is well beyond most Americans’ dual household income, so I don’t really think finances are issue. 8 minutes in and I have anxiety listening to Savannah yell and gripe at him and she’s projecting on him like he’s starting it. No. She is. She treats him like a 4 year old. He’s almost 18 and he’s more of a man and mature than her and Chase were both at his age. Savannah’s parents weren’t in prison when she was 17. In fact she was squealing like a 12 year old getting her Mercedes at her sweet 16 party. She needs to remember who and where they are in life. Grayson has had way more on his plate than she ever did at his age. I love the family and the show but her immaturity and controlling character is so cringy here. Commendable considering you are both going through the same situation but at different level of responsibility in your lives 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

Savannah, you sound just like Todd. Grayson is a good kid, almost a grown man. He needs to spread his wings and fly. He knows the consequences of not making the grade. He has a plan and that's more than I did at his age. Let Grayson fly! I'm going to sell T-shirts that say "FREE GRAYSON CHRISLEY"

It’s now her responsibility to look out for him. They’ve been close since he was little. Such an amazing bond. This has got to be hard for them both

Savannah sounds far more immature than her little brother. He didnt raise his voice one time, yet she kept stating that he did. She sounds so whiny...She is the one with the tone, but yet for reasons beyond Grayson's control, she has power over him. It's so unfair for both of them. I just hope he doesn't come to resent her for it.

Savannah, your're really doing all you can for your family and carrying a load by yourself at your age that honestly, your not yet prepared for, and I say that with all due respect. If you were prepared, you would have had a kid at the age of 10 or 11. My mama bear heart just hurts for both of you with the family dynamics you are trying to manage. So what if he wants to go to football games and parties and doesn't clean his room, that's every kid going to college and most kids going to college don't know what they want to do. He's got a plan. Let him live! And it's not the same!

TBH - I’m happy to hear that Grayson wants to go to college, especially EARLY. Let him grow by letting him go. When he said (roughly), “I don’t want to hear about Mom & Dad everyday and know what I’m going to be doing every weekend” could be saying a lot. I know it’s a heavy burden on the family, but don’t make it the center of every conversation with the kids. He knows the situation, the details, the dates, etc., he doesn’t want to hear about it everyday. I’m pretty sure that’s an unpopular opinion, but he sounds so frustrated and angry. 🤷‍♀️

I know it’s super tough right now for you both. You’ve said it, and so have your parents and Nanny Faye - Greyson is a good kid. Maybe letting him go will give him some more confidence and independence and let him be like other people his age. You both got thrown off the deep end with everything your family has gone through and you had to grow up really quick. Give him a semester to see how it goes and have some conditions in place. I think you guys are both doing amazing and as a mom I think that your family has done a great job with Greyson and he will be ok. Wishing you all the best

Grayson is a smart and intelligent young man. Hes actually mature for his age. He’s not a kid anymore. He deserves to live his own life as Grayson, not under the shadows of “mom and dad”. Let the young man experience life and become independent. Everyone doesn’t have the same experiences in life and everyone learns differently. Trust him, as his big sister I know it’s hard to let go especially after what happened but, you need to step back and become his biggest supporter. If not, it’s just going to cause friction between y’all two. At the end of the day he WILL do what he needs to do as an individual and a young man experiencing life and bettering himself and his future. He is his own person. Trust him and trust the process that he is going to become a great and successful man in the near future.

I am not a parent, but I'm a 42 year old adult having been through some childhood trauma. Grayson is wanting passionately this opportunity. It's some both maybe some time away to further process as well as finding his own way. I've had my best realizations on life and coming through things when I've been alone and on my own. And Savannah you are amazing and so supportive. Grayson will look to you for support I'm sure if needed and always. This quote screamed that to me: "...well with you I don't sneak out I ask you..." That's a wonderful sign and means he knows he can come to you no matter what. ❤

Savannah… I heard in Grayson‘s voice how he was afraid you would stop speaking to him is his from the abandonment. He felt when your parents went to prison. Thank you for telling him you’re not gonna stop talking to him. I think he needed to hear that. How tough this must be on you to step in as his parent. At the same time, what a strange argument that he wants to go to college early and you don’t want him to lol but I get it’s the reasons that he wants to go in your mind. I am on team Grayson. He is at a point in his life that he wants to feel and act like all of the kids around him but he has been placed in a position where he is being held back do to his parents. After raising children of my own, I can tell you that it is the best thing in the world for him to fly and spread his wings on his own terms. He has to grow and learn and he is really maturely expressing that. When we as adults try to hold our kids back it is not coming from anything other than what we want even when we think we are protecting them. It's Faltime to let him go and let him see life through his eyes and make choices for himself. Any success or failure becomes lessons for future self so fly Grayson fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
