Please stop spreading false statement and incorrect facts...thakshan yaaga azhivil amman sati aaginaal(burnt/corpse) and shivani took his sati and performed thandav thereby her body split into 64 pieces which are now called Shakti peedam! Then shiva took the form of veerabathrar and his consort bathrakali(ruthrakali) destroyed thakshan and his yagam! There's a bigger and elaborated version in thaksha puranam which comes in Skandha puranam. Please stop spreading things which comes to your understanding. But yes ghora means terrific and aghora means not terrific.
