I am new to this channel, but I am loving to see CGB's gradual loss of sanity as Rotation approaches. It really shows something about how the change affects players.

Wait till you hear him swear with true anger, its super rare! He'll casually swear here and there, but when you can truly hear the hate and spite in his voice, its just🤌 Been watching for years and I've only seen it twice, dude is very well tempered

you did have lethal at 6:50 by activating the second ability of surge engine and getting a counter with jitte

22:35 Not entirely sure it would have mattered, but you could have saved the Sentinel after he discarded only a 4cmc to explosion by exiling a creature with the soul cauldron. That would have given you another attacker and more artifacts. Hard to say it would have gotten the job done, tho.

I think that first player meant to quickly skip through combat but accidentally clicked all attack instead of skip combat.

CGB’s intentional mispronunciation of Zoetic Glyph is quite the gambit. But I’m too self-confident to ever be farmed so easily! Ha!

22:15 You could have used the Cauldron to put a counter on either Sentinel or the Glyph'd up map token to keep either alive against the Explosion. I believe that could have made a major difference...

@@stephensengebush275 "Good Game" does not have a stance about who will win the game. I GG before the end of every match in which I have reasonable draws, win or lose, because it was a Good Game

I found the deck way better with 20 lands only, no vinestalks and 1 mirrex only; I play aloe alchemists at their place, and they provide dmg, and chance to play around board wipes, while still dealing dmg. I can't count the amount of times my mana base was screwed by vinestalks and mirrexes xd

If I did the math correct (19/53)×(18/52)×...×(15/49) it had about a .4% chance of you drawing 5 straight lands to start. Assuming real world randomness.

I love this deck, it usually sucks but I run 2 copies of the elf that draws a card on enchantment ETB and gets 2 +1/+1 on artifact ETB. A single case of the falcon pumps and draws with it which is sweet. Also run a copy of the land that draws for enchantment and draws for artifact to help keep the gas going.

Nothing better than Cookie decks!

6:50, you can activate the engine to make it base power 5/4 no? Which is lethal on board without doing anything else (getting a counter on flyer with jite).

Would a cryptic coat help at all to get damage through?

I'm shocked by how many mythic decks/players are actual trash (from watching, I haven't been/bothered since I first joined Arena in the days of Fervent Champion, Torbran and Embercleave and thought I was the smartest by getting to mythic so fast...)

Deck is pretty rotation proof by the looks of it.

I think all you lose is the Channel lands and Dreamroot cascade....which is pretty great for the deck post rotation IMO

This is a fun as heck deck I will play it.

I expect that simic cookies can actually be a meta deck after rotation because most of the meta will be rotated out

I was playing cookies and somebody hit me with the temur analyst deck with Borborygmos and Fblthp added in. It was mean.

24:00 Temur landfall is just the worst to play against. Not only is it incredibly difficult to interact with but you have to sit there while they play solitare. I cannot wait for the sac lands to rotate out and we can be free from this nonsense.

I have tried her cookies deck in BO1 many times with no real success. Never draw lost jitte and always wish I could draw a board wipe

That Analyst deck is just awful. It can't be beaten by a deck that's not specifically equipped to beat it. The only good thing is that you can avoid it by putting some graveyard hate into your deck. Thanks, MTG:A matchmaker algorithm!

@@KroyX Sometimes. In my experience they always have Ill-Timed Explosion ready to go. I did manage to beat this deck yesterday with double Railway Brawler making my Tyrranax Rex a 32/32 trample. They roped out in anger, and I enjoyed that victory quite a bit!

@canis39 I know that feeling, dislike that deck. I think my win rate with Mono Green aggro is something like 50% against it, so decks like Mono Red and Boros should be doing well.

Yeah, I Mythic'd like once during the Pandemic and realized that the competitive pressure hits me too hard to keep trying it. These days I usually go up to Platinum (though its been a couple of months) if I particularly like the card style reward and the extra couple of packs. Beyond that there's too much time investment required and I can play other modes than ladder and have more fun.

CGB talks about fast games and then play control, torturing opponents for 40 minutes lol

I like 1G ozilith instead of cauldron - wyrmlet, map tokens, schooner. Being able to pump up a creature if you don’t draw into anything. 4:07

Bankbuster is a broken magic card. Schooner doesn’t come close.

Cookies is strong. But it is a BO3 deck for sure.

OK, then make a non-mythic deck
