Oh gosh I love this. I live in the desert (Arizona) and in the summer when we try to conserve water it does not make sense to me to try and clean out a peanut butter jar but I got yelled at by a “friend”.

I agree with all of this! The county I grew up in had free recycling picked up from your house biweekly! It was amazing! Then when we moved here there was a small recycling center that was just some dumpsters that you put them in. It was part of our in town trash service cost. Then for some they shut it down. It would cost us a lot of money to set up a service to pick it up from our house or even take it to the recycling center about 30ish minutes from our home. It's so frustrating! My brother lets us take stuff to put in his bin (he lives in the county with free pick up) so that is nice and helpful.

We as individuals can’t really begin to negate the damage done by big corporations any way. Do what you can when you can. And if and when you can’t, that’s ok.
