Nice tutorial man! You’ve probably been my biggest help on KZread for learning new tricks. I just uploaded a p-rail stall session using your chair technique. I’ll be working on more topsides soon. Thanks bro!

Ahh topsides, one day I will get there. I can do a good sweaty on a rail but I have to squish down as I'm grinding. As for on ledges, no chance! Haha Working on all the other grinds still though, but I'll come back to this video when I hopefully get to my topsides. 👍

Dude. Overall, all of your content is really really great. I've watched a ton of your videos from the last 2 years because I got back to skating after 8 years (seems to be a trend lol).. and man, I can easily say these "Skate with me" sessions are the most fun. It's kinda like that Nike app giving you a "coach" as you run. I wish I had these p-rail guided sessions as a teen. I was EXCLUSIVELY hitting top souls only, because I was too scared of a royale or any boot trick for that matter. 28 now and diving into the fear and practicing that center of balance. Aloha from NJ.

I appreciate that, I felt the same way after i came back to skating. Its part of the reason we started making these videos. I wanted to help the community with free accessible videos that would help us grow strong and confident again (for those starting or coming back) If you have IG Send me some clips, I love seeing the development and being able to connect with Blade Fam that way. @acosta_blades Aloha from Colorado 🤙

Getting Low with it! Always my go to video to sharpen my topsides. Also hope to get another installment in the P rail tutorials maybe how you can start to do some basic switch ups or ways to keep progressing into learning new tricks cause I am wanting to progress more in grinds or should I just keep the focus on learning to carve and ride the park? So far learning to use more of the wheel profile as well been using flat 58/90 on most of my setups just looking to have fun but trying to skate better you know?

@Acosta Blades Technical question regarding the type of PVC you used for the rail. There are actually different compounds and I'd like the same as yours as it seems to slide well.

@@acostablades8138 I was not aware they were different kinds of PVC pipes, until I chose one that shattered under my weight after a couple of grinds... I now have replaced it with a thicker and harder one. No problem, but I do have to wax it often and profusely. I'm on AEONs 60s like you at the moment, and I find all groove tricks no issue at all to slide smoothly, but soul/top soul based tricks are much stickier. Probably due to that unimold Aeon shell, soulplate being known to be quite slow. See you at your next video Josh!

P-rail Topside practice! Little ''noob" question though. I saw that (especially i the beginning of the video) you approached the rail head on (not really from a side). Would you recommend that for learning/improving topsides?

  • @acostablades8138

Id say go for it, and then slowly move the start position to the proper side. It does help with switch tricks.
