I remember this episode. The moment she said she couldn't have children, I understood her obsession with the dog. That is a huge sadness for her, a hole in her life that Savage fills. I feel sad for her. Dogs don't generally outlive their owners. She's going to have to lose him one day... 😢

She should get parrots. They are as smart as a 6 year old child and are high maintence & talk back & generally outlive you with proper care. I had an exotic animal rescue operation and nearly all of our parrots were from deceased owner's families .

Love how understanding and patient the husband is. Any other person would be incredibly fed up at a dog that bites their spouse so hard they bleed and yet is still considered a priority, and yet when she explains why he's basically their surrogate child he still makes sure to squeeze her shoulder to comfort her. Simon's the real one!

Agree, but you have to give those people “props” for reaching out! They know in their hearts that they are doing something wrong, but can’t figure out what to do about it. It’s all about educating them and giving them the tools to have a well-balanced dog.

"when he's not really a dangerous dog" bro just because he's small doesn't mean he's not dangerous. if he's biting and drawing blood, he's dangerous and needs to be respected as such! not necessarily reported, but aggressive dogs have special needs that need to be met and taken seriously. i'm glad they got him professional training, so many owners of small dogs neglect the value and necessity of training.

I have thought about this, and I think we should treat dogs like kids. It's just that what people think kids should be treated like is wrong. This is especially true for people who don't have kids. I know my son loves attention, but he benefits from clear boundaries. I don't endlessly mollycoddle him and parade him in various dresses. If I spoil my son, I am being a bad parent

"I don't like him upset. I'd rather let him just do what he wants." Even in the first 2 minutes I knew that this was a badly trained dog, and badly trained humans. Dog training is about 95% owner training: they need to learn how to read the dog's body language and respect the signals given, but they also need to be taught how to train the dog (not punish, but actually teach!).

Chihuahuas are great dogs and if you treat them as such they'll be amazing companions but they're like pomeranians and other mini breeds, if you indulge them, they'll keep on taking until you can't do anything about it anymore. Because they are small people don't think about the consequences of lack of training the way big dog owners do and that's a shame.

Victoria's laughter at the stroller just killed me. I like how she used the stroller as a place for him to feel safe. But I don't get putting dogs in strollers for walks unless they're very old or you need it for therapy reasons. Dogs need to walk on their own. Cats are a totally different story, though--my friends have a therapy cat, and they use a stroller to go in and out of buildings.

I could tell u never owned a chihuahua. I train my chi every day, more than most dog owners, she’s with me everywhere and is extremly well behaved. BUT she absolutely hates to walk. Its been like that since she was a puppy, and I always tought to myself ”if you dont carry your chihuahua around, it wont be a problem” I was wrong. and I can speak for a lot of chi owners. Haha you judge and think its so wrong to put your chi in a stroller but not a cat…? Because ”your friend does that” doesnt make sense to me🙄

Little Dogs like Savage are the reason why I have a greater fear of little dogs than I do big dogs... don't get me wrong, I'm terrified of dogs of ALL sizes, but little dogs tend to be more vicious than big dogs due to a lack of training... people treat their little dogs like toys or accessories rather than like they are an actual dog and they think that because the dog is little, it can't do much damage to people if it bites but they can absolutely do damage. Little dogs are dogs too and should be trained and treated as such.
