Hos we want to show the aggregated production planning performed with the minimum labor force method with subcontracting.
With this method we perform a pure leveling strategy, in which we are going to keep the labor force at a minimum level, which indicates that for some planning periods, we will have the possibility of shortages, to avoid them we resort to outsourcing.
With this aggregate production plan we will achieve low costs associated with layoffs and hiring. We will also have no inventory costs, since we produce with the minimum number of workers. With this strategy, the highest costs will be generated by outsourcing production to other companies.
