Age Verification is a Trick with a Different Intent than What You Think

Ғылым және технология

Once again, another group is fired up about "Child Safety" issues. This time related to doing age verification on porn sites. But though the well meaning people who push this do not know this, they are just being manipulated by the real players who have a different agenda. The agenda is always about beating encryption, and population control.

Actually, it's what three-letter,four letter government agencies want,to be instigators. To be instigators, imagine what it's like to be as any ordinary citizen in China. Criticize their government (?),and you (and your family, your friends, and your coworkers at your job) will be shut down. You lose access to your own money. Have a low or 'poor' social score? That means you cannot get a car. No banking loans. No opportunities to earn your way towards having your own home. No fresh food? That's outrageous. Think about the KYC laws,or the CAPPA bylaws that claim to protect children on the internet. What about on porn and hate sites on the dark web? No amount of legislation will ever stop cybercriminals from practicing extortion and murder while they are almost always on the dark web. What we see on the light web is just the tip of the iceberg. What we don't see is what the so-called Patriot Act wants us to believe. That any type of government are for our children's interests. That any level of government is for our own good. That our government is on our side. When the reality is, educated people know that we cannot expect them, the government,to be there for us. They're not there for us. They are there for THEIR own agenda. Such as this. The end of the internet as we know it. DARPA was the then-defunct government agency that orginally created the internet.

Of course! Ignorant people think that Big Tech would go out of their way to protect THEM. Hell,no. The COPPA thing. The KYC thing. And they think an A.I. is a person. A.I.'s are *not* people! Like Rob Braxman Tech originally from China with their social media platforms on TikTok, Facebook Live, and of course, their social "scores". A bunch of conservatives from Texas being Zucked, who don't want freedom. They hate freedom, and are supporters of the thin green line. What *they* want people to know is their paranoia to be known as if their agenda depends on them to protect the kids from any and all harm. When the reality is the opposite. Propaganda is one of their main missions in Big Tech infiltrating their lives by any and all technology. By further investing in their own computer software and hardware into expecting technology to do their heavy lifting for them. Sort of having that M3gan effect. Look what happens when dumb, stupid, and ignorant people who don't understand what it means to live in a socialist state like California, Florida, Washington state, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. New Mexico is a state that now has crooked and corrupt police officers that break their own laws and violate citizens constitutional rights, now stupidly think that something like *this* will protect them. Their qualified immunity would be GONE. That's possible now. But it doesn't always work. Doesn't mean that their government will protect their kids and teenagers from any and all harm, from being exploited. Like depending on those ineffective Ring doorbell cameras. A lot of good that does them. Nothing but a bunch of red tape, legal problems/ legal issues and more privacy concerns. Knowledge is power. Ignorance is not bliss.

They'd be no electricity just about anywhere. We'd be in complete chaos. Grocery and supermarkets would be ransacked. Convenient stores would be completely broken into, and everything would be gone. The U.S. dollar would one day become worthless. Cryptocurrency wouldn't be worth hardly anything, since they'd already be controlled by the Fed. The only kind of cryptocurrency we'd have is what the one-world government would suggest. That'd be the Fed. Of them controlling and governing the New York Stock Exchange.

The "thought police" are already alive & well in the UK, & have been for some time now. A few years ago there was a case of a man in the UK who received a visit at his home by a couple of police officers, one of whom said they were there to "make sure that his thinking was correct". The visit was prompted by a comment/post the man had made in an on-line chat, where he had quoted something another chat member had previously said - so the content the police were upset about, was not even originally his. The UK is in a really dreadful state at the moment, sadly.

At some time identification will be necessary to separate bots and people, or all social networks will just be impossible to use. Even the amazon publishing system was hit by hundreds of AI generated "fake books", but they are still connected to human accounts that are subjected to be banned. You may still try to preserve "privacy to watch", but it gets economically difficult.

I run pi-hole in a VM on an old Dell SFF PC with TrueNAS Core. It pulls a huge list of known adult sites for blocking. I regularly check that the list is still updated and test the blocking capability. (We have two young kids and though they aren't given unsupervised internet access, I figure it doesn't hurt me to be ahead of the curve.) It is very effective. Seems like it would be easier to have ISPs provide DNS level adult site blocking if the subscriber requests it rather than force age verification. It could be as simple as a plan option selection on their account management pages. Same for cell phone data plans. This shows you their real intent, not to protect and to leave responsibility in the hands of parents and adults, but to track and control. Of course opt-in ISP level blocking isn't going to stop somebody who is determined, but on a PC with a properly restricted user account (or a parental locked phone) they shouldn't be able to change DNS settings or start a VPN to get around such things... they'll just go to a publicly open wifi somewhere.

I have ZERO friends on the account so the only things it can know about me are based on other users of those groups. Besides FB's algorithms trying desperately to make me a vegan or into some celeb worshiping dolt, it shows me huge amounts of dirty drawings and AI generated porn. I report everything, block the pages, select "show me less of this content", and hide the pages and all this appears to do is drive the algorithm harder. FB clearly doesn't seem to care one bit that the content is on their system for anyone to access and it actively promotes it.

I came across that mobile phone on-line some months ago - when an acquaintance drew my attention to it. I took a look at it myself & saw that it is much more expensive than the BraX2 phone, & there are also some on-going costs associated with its use, in addition to any carrier costs. I would be very interested to see how many people have actually purchased that phone. At an up-front purchase cost of close to $1,000, plus some on-going costs, I would not purchase such a phone - particularly as some of its software is proprietary & not open-source. But I'll admit that, on the surface, it may impress some people, who may be inclined to purchase it. It would indeed be interesting to know what Rob Braxman thinks of it - even though some people may claim he might be biased, as he offers a similar product/phone himself - the aim of which is privacy.

Any device in Idaho (activated) would be required to prove the person's age it seems, which can only happen by ID.

I hear about it on KZread from time to time and it is always presented as an absolute fsct. However, I spent a couple of years in China for work reason (during the pandemic out of all times) and of course experienced the surveillance at every step but i had never heard or seen about social score in actual China. I understand that it would be something that only Chinese people would have direct contact with but since it is so common there I would have hear some of my colleagues mentioning it or refering to it in some way or another. It leaves me under a doubt that it even exists. How strong evidence is there for social credit score in China? Is it just an urban myth spread on the internet ?

Use the phone for calling, and a PC not connected to the internet for things you don't want others to see. It's that simple. Give your public key to your friend, encrypt the message with your private key on that PC, then take it on a USB stick to send over the internet. Let your friend do the same. Keep all keys on the unconnected PCs only. Of course you'll have to meet to exchange the keys - that's called "know your friend" policy :-)

Sorry but Internet ID already exists. In Europe is quite popular for ISPs to offer home Internet over LTE mobile network, which of course uses SIM cards, some European countries mandated SIM card registration, which means tying your personal data with a SIM card. Each provider has a special web page for overviewing your monthly internet traffic, bills and contract details. When you visit that page, you are automatically logged in and greeted with your personal data, regarding of device connected through that router. How this web page finds and recognises the information I would like to know myself. Since erasing browser history doesn't help it can mean only that the web page reads the SIM card data with the help of the router, probably IMSI number and checks in the providers database to which user it belongs to and grants you access. It is not difficult to figure out how can this be applied to many other aspects of the Internet.

I answered a point above and I will repeat it here. This will not be successful at stopping anything because that's not how the internet works. So more KYC will be added and at all levels. But in the end whatever you want to stop access to can still be accessed. The only real solution is to STOP IT at the Parent's side. Restrict devices! But the KYC will be a forever thing and will apply to everything that is done on the Internet. You will create a criminal class here. The video made it clear. There are many ways kids can pass stuff around. You give them the devices and they will find a zucking way. Again, legislation does not actually provide a specific solution. Saying KYC is not enough to make this work. It will be an impossibility to implement without draconian methods that affect all access to the internet. ALL. You do know, that as I said in the video, those who wanted access will not do KYC. They just got themselves a VPN!

@@robbraxmantech Texas HB1181 states that pornography websites need "comply with a commercial age verification system that verifies age using a commercially reasonable method that relies on public or private transactional data to verify the age of an individual." Age verification systems already exist. This bill does not implement a new governmental system, it relys on existing and independent third party options of the pornographer's choosing. Your position that no law should be made because someone will violate it is not a good argument. This legislation clearly aims to create hurdles for the website and it's users. It does not seek to ban such content. Requiring age verification for adult products to minors is completely justifiable as per the court ruling and common sense. This restriction introduces a reasonable and lawful method, that is appropriate to implement at the state level. I advocate for both good parenting AND lawful reasonable state intervention when needed to address specific social level problems. The adult market will not regulate this content AT ALL without lawful intervention.

I find myself in disagreement with something... I do not believe that people should be free to post things on the internet without accountability(the ability for what you said to be linked to you) - because such things facilitate abusive behaviour without consequence(which is part of why I think they use identification)... I believe people should be accountable for what they say & do, ESPECIALLY on the internet... Imagine being stalked by an abuser - how would you be able to stop such a thing if said abuser is free to say\do what they want with anonymity? & let's play the 'child card' - who would want their child to be subject to unadulterated abuse from a stalker? 🤔

Your opinion doesn't matter (neither does mine) if it violates someone's rights. A person has the freedom of speech. I cannot tell someone to remove themselves from life or yell fire in a movie theater. That is law. People want to limit free speech because it hurts their feelings. No. That is not how this works. If you tell me to fork off & I get butthurt that is my issue. You should not be reprimanded for it. Assuming we are both legal aged adults there was no crime. People cannot regulate how to be a decent human being on the internet. If someone is that offended by what a stranger says on the internet they need to stay off the internet.

The 'freedom of speech' revolves around being free to speak against your Government, share your ideas & data - IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT, BE VERBALLY ABUSIVE, TOXIC, ANNOYING, ETC!!! Telling people to remove themselves from life or yell fire IS something you CAN say - but weather or not you should be free to do same is debatable... The limiting of free speech has nothing to do with feelings - it has to do with CONTROL(people who speak freely against the control the Government has over the public are silenced or labelled in a negative way so as to discredit them) - being intentionally insulting for the sake of doing so is NOT a case of being 'free to speak', NO!!! Rather, it is a case of being ABUSIVE, & hiding under the guise of being free to speak(double abusive as you're also abusing the 'right to speak') - you NEED to UNDERSTAND what 'freedom of speech' is - you come off as am ADOLESCENT(saw a video of same defining FOS - they, like you, have it all wrong - YOU don't have a proper grasp of 'how things work' ETC)... If someone curses\is verbally abusive to you - THEY HAVE MENTAL ISSUES\DEFICIENCIES\ETC......NOT YOU, for being insulted - & YES, they should be reprimanded for it - NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE WILFULLY OFFENSIVE\ABUSIVE\ETC & GET AWAY WITH IT... It's SAD that the level of intellect you have, doesn't allow you to acknowledge the problem with that(but then again, you're probably just being annoying on purpose)... Imagine someone abusing YOUR child at school on a DAILY basis & YOU telling YOUR child that THEY are the problem if THEY have a grouse with it? MADNESS!!! I guess if a woman is RAPED & has a problem with it SHE is the problem, right? Because people can DO whatever they want to do, right? Being an adult DOES NOT make it 'okay' for you to verbally abuse another adult - STOP talking SHIT(YOU are VERY ANNOYING) - I bet if I PUNCH your adult face(I'll do worse - don't bite off more then you can chew), you'll run to the police... As long as it's between adults, abuse is okay, right? WHEN people become linked to their internet activity, NO ONE will be able to be abusive & get away with it...
