@@GreatgoatonFire Thats true. But nobody can know how the real dwarfs would develop their culture when they achieve new technological standards. It is still possible that they would be much more explotative, when they have giant machines and roboter. Humanity changed their view in our history very often too, so why shouldn't the dwarfs develop a new society and view of the world. At the end the trailer doesn't show them as merciless evil monsters, only as productive, explotative and strong.

@@GreatgoatonFire I know WhF dwarfs very well. But you probably forget some internal disputes regarding towards black powder weapons or gyrocopters. Even dwarfs can change.

The Dvar are oddly reminiscent of the Squats from the Rouge Traitor days of Warhammer 40k. The Squats were an attempt to take the classic Dwarfish race from Tolkienesque Fantasy & translate them into a Gothic Sci-Fi setting, same as was done with the other stock Fantasy races. But Games Workshop abandoned the Squats because they couldn't quite make them fit rightly in the Lore necessary for good world building. It seems to me that Triumph Studios may have succeeded where Games Workshop failed in making a faction of “Space Dwarves” viable. Can’t wait to play ‘em!

Technically 40k has a race of space dwarfs now as well, the Demiurg. However so far they've only shown up in Battlefleet Gothic.

While it appears to be an ability exclusive to the Dvar, it also looks like a late-game ability. Meaning you probably will have something up your sleeve at that point in the game.

Space Soviet Dwarfs! Surname of one of them is "Zhelezo" it means "Iron" in Russian. The City "Irdinsk" seems pretty Russian too. Sounds similar to Russian cities "Irkutsk", "Omsk" or Belorussian capital "Minsk".

Awesome! But the main question remains... Do they have pet bears?

Age of wonders series is a true successor to Heroes of Might and Magic after it's fall. I hope that this game will have a lot of modding capacity, so that we can have crossovers with XCOM.

I really hope this is even somewhat connected to the races from Age of Wonders the vanguard can be the human race, the dvar can be the dwarves, the bugs are new, but I hope to see space draconians and space elves at the very least. Hell a faction of entirely magic users could be really cool as well.

GW should've hired Triumph long ago for a real 4X Strat game, not the masses of bad and mediocre games they spew out with hardly known studios. Age of Warhammer would be so great.

Balance needed? Too OP? I see how people will start to cry ^^. It is a very good presentation of space dwarfs known as Dvar. P.S.I think there is work on model animations (Dvar Artillery a lot of rockets and only 5 dmg? pfff) plus the size of some models e.g. Earth Crusher which is "a massive industrial complex" but its size is that twice of infantry what the heck XD.

Funny, I told a sibling that this game needed space dwarves, elves, and orcs; and an hour later, this trailer pops up 👍. It would be awesome if they could port this game to Nintendo switch consoles 🤑. At least, one could only dream of a space/science fi 4x on the go 🤤.
