You know it's the early days of a game when there are games between "Mark" and "Frank".

I just seriously can't wait anymore for this game to be released... October 28th is sure taking it's time! Warhammer 3, AOE4, CoH3... 2021-2022 is being really generous to the RTS players! (At last, some fresh games for us)

This was a really cool game, seems complex enough, yet straighforward. Fun to watch as well. Can't wait to go back to the good old dark ages myself.

I have rewatched this so many times, I just can’t wait for this game.

I love everything about AoE4, but why the grid system for buildings and no building rotation? I know it's not a gamebreaker, but every AoE4 match I've watched, all towns look so monotone. I used to love the fact that in AoE3 I could rotate houses, mills etc to really personalize my town and give it character. Also, artillery and siege equipment magically move on their own? Why not have them manned like AoE3?

You can carry carcasses? This opens up a whole new resource for the game and maybe certain civilizations can utilize carcasses for siege or healing

I can't believe this game is final, and not subject to change.

The moment HRE lost his first army to the keep the game was over.

Why does it feel like it's running at 30fps ??? Also, the graphics look so washed out, textures are dull and boring. Something's off, just not as vibrant and cozy looking like AOE2 Definitive Edition.

Did the commentator said that the Horse archer is unique to the Rus? :O Cause even Abassid has Mounted Archers (Camels Archers). I'm pretty sure the Gols will also have Horse Archers.

Yeah there are at least three civs with cav archer units, but they're called different things and are all technically unique units. Rus have the Horse Archer, Abassid have Camel Archers and Mongols have Mangudai.

am i the only one who thinks the golden is kinda a dumb idea? Like really, a giant gateway in the middle of the town that's not connected to any walls, like... that just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I heard from a Slavic guy that the Golden Gateway was once a part of the old city of Kiev in the Early Middle Ages, but was dismantled later on in the Middle Ages. I guess the gateway represents the early Slavic culture and the city expanded around it once the gates were dismantled; it would have been neat if it were a gateway for the reinforced palisade, but I guess that would have made it too vulnerable.

Please stop talking about the Landsknecht being a powerful unit. He is absolutely trash and when comparing him in-game to his historical role, he needs to be revamped or removed from the game and replaced by something useful. He never was an auxiliary soldier, but rather the core of the front line and quite feared. He was the go-to soldier in the late medieval ages, no king missed out on him if he could afford him. But in the game there is no reason to build this unit. It dies to everything, can barely beat a spearman, costs 100 gold and a bit of food and his attack doesn't offset anything either. It is way too weak for him being barely able to reach an enemy. If there are archers of some sort, he'll die before he can swing. He needs a lot more hp, maybe shouldn't receive bonus dmg from light infantry counters and maybe should get a dodge mechanic as he was very agile thanks to his light armor. He also should deal bonus dmg to light infantry and cavalry, so you don't want him in your archer line. Him being lightly armored is totally fine, but also having one of the worst health pools in the game for a civ special unit is actually pathetic. When playing the beta I have never built this unit as it is just a waste of ressources. It can be devastating in clumped up worker lines, but the opponent would have to be afk for that. Literally the worst unit in the game and we don't even know all the units yet. But there won't be anything that is worse than him. Impossible. A disgrace of a unit. Loved the match nonetheless.

These jerks re-made that terrible game Age of empires 3. Ruined a possibly great game.
