@@AEGISAOE aegis in age of empires 2 is a cheat code which is the equivalent of the age of empires 1 steroids which makes everything like building, making units everything, instant

Yeah no I like the scale of AoE2. Bigger than AoE but not THIS big

Thankfully to this video I discovered Ramses and Thutmose used to be very popular names for English kings

Fun fact: the same alpha version had a scenario named "E3".

Mostly is just me finding it and wanted it to be more public because the changed between alpha and release is way too huge

АоЕ 2 feeling like AoE 1 is logical, but still strange and odd.

I think so, is most likely just a placeholder animation

So this is how the game was originally going to be played like now I actually want to play still I could tell the AI are not working pretty well but i still well plays it

The graphics, terrain, resources, half of the sounds, water, wildlife are all AoE1. In 2023 it just looks like someone tried to bring AoE2 assets to AoE1.

This version has a lot of cool stuff I sadly didnt went through, for example an E3 map, or a funny scenario where the AI complains of not having berries and resigns

there are some news about the age of empires site planetjustin, it now have age of empires 1 betas and I think they will add age of empires 3 beta and mythology
