David is my favorite Poirot. The voice of the countess reminded me of Miss Piggy...LOL
So charming! Mr. Suchet does all the voices like a favorite grandfather.
David and Hugh are both excellent narrators . Thank you for these .
David Suchet’s voice is rich velvet. Could listen to this 24/7
What a talent to be able to have so many voices!
David Suchet reading the story, beautifully.
David Suchet is such a brilliant actor! :) 🎭🎬✨🌹🌱
David Suchet. Most excellent. 💕
Would love to hear all of the Labors of Hercules with Hercule Poirot!
You can hear David Suchet laughing at himself when he does that Countess! He and Hugh Frasier are my favorites!
Extraordinary talent David, those characters he voices truly amazing, even the Russian 😂
... narreted by Mr. Suchet, my personal favourite ! Matched only by Mr. Fraser 😉 🖖🏻
Thank you!❤️❤️
This was really enjoyable, thank you

I CAN NOT PRAISE THIS ENOUGH!!!! THANK YOU IT IS BRILLIANT!!!!
I love this one!! ❤️
I loved it
The Countess voice is ridiculous it's so campy it's I had to laugh😂😂
The Countess must be related to Gru.😊
David Suchet will always be the definitive Poirot. All others bring a little bit of Poirot but he just brings it all together.
Wonderful. 😀Thank you so much.
Brilliant narration. .thankyou hugh.
Who is the narrator? His voice kept me spellbound.

I agree. Captivating narration….. I’m settling in for the night with this and my knitting and putting the rest of the world far, far away. Miss Jenny in a very mild Manhattan.

The narrator is an obscure actor : David Suchet ? Not sure what he's actually done in his career ?His French accent is fairly awful . His Russian accent is even worse .!

Hmmm. I wonder which Reichian country the Central Empire is supposed to be?

Presumably a reference to the Germanic realms- either Germany ,or Austria Hungary although both had ceased to be "Empires" in 1918.
Normally I love Suchet reading Poirot, but I could not get into this story.
This isn’t the Agatha Christie short story The Capture of Cerberus from her book The Labours of Hercules. What rewriting is this?
@Greatstoriesyoulllove

This was the rediscovered original version which was found in 2004 when 73 of her notebooks were unearthed at her family home. She rewrote it for the version you know. Hope this clarifies things Mick.

@@Greatstoriesyoulllove Thanks! The Secret Notebooks is new to me. I’ll have to order a copy now.
I couldn’t get into this sadly.
At a bit after 19:, shouldn’t “ingenious” have been “ingenuous “?
Are we sure.... This is an agatha Rubbish in the extreme!! 🤣🇮🇪
I didn't like these,

@@Greatstoriesyoulllove Agatha Christie may have been right to put it away for a while. I like the other stories in the Labours of Hercules . But her characterisation of Hitler was not diplomatically suitable before the War or PostWar . So I join Ron Pearson

@@Greatstoriesyoulllove Thank you so much for posting these Agatha Christie stories. I thought that I had read most of her works, but I have been pleasantly surprised to hear some of her stories that are completely new to me. Bless you for doing this for us.❤️ I am now severely disabled and your KZread channel has given me great pleasure and hours of real enjoyment. Thanks again. All my very best wishes from Rose.❤️👏
No l,can’t get to grips with Suchet reading his own character! He isn’t half as good as Hugh Fraser who excels as Poirot AND with all the other characters. 🥱

Fraser's reading is nowhere near as good as this...

Well Fraser narrates his own character - Hastings - and Suchet IS Poirot so not sure how narrating a book differs from speaking the lines in a movie/TV series
