Bob is a fox terrier belonging to Emily Arundell and the titular “dumb witness”. He is not more than six years old, and according to Ellen, sometimes …

I really appreciate the inclusion of the ads and announcements in between the two parts! There’s something so fascinating about hearing the little relics from when it was initially broadcasted.
It's very sweet how someone is clearly playing Bob the Fox Terrier. That must have been quite fun in the recording.
These and the Sherlock Holmes Audio Drama are absolutely perfect! i work in a factory and they make my day, everyday! Poirot is awesome, mon amie!
Each is a perfect segment. They make an excellent companion while cooking. Thanks!
It was so funny hearing the news of the day as well😂. I'm enjoying this so much.

Listening to that news was a bit chilling. Pity Poirot wasn't investigating those Russian political poisonings!
John Moffat as Poirot and Simon Williams (aka James Bellamy, the son on Upstairs, Downstairs, the1970s original), as Hastings make for a great radio play. ❤
The one and only Poirot! Love, love, love him!
Very enjoyable with a great twist at the end. Thanks.
How lovely to hear the old Radio 4 news bulletin, trailers and continuity announcer (the much-loved Susan Ray, I think) between the episodes 😊
💚💚💚💚💚 Thank you 29/09/2023
Even today Agatha Christie’s legacy lives on not just in her books and films, plays etc but in series such as Murder in Paradise (and others) where the Christie formula can still be seen.
This radio series was very well done.

I can only think what great fun the person impersonating Bob is having ..
Good actors! Each one sounds like someone I’ve heard/seen in a movie or such. The Suchet version of this on tv is quite good also!

The scene where they see the green vapour coming off the old women really creeped me out in the TV version. That and the Kelly Reilly's face turning into a skull in Sad Cypress were two of the most creepy moments in all the Suchet episodes.

This is quite different ftom the Suchet version
The quivering THANK YOU message is a deterrent from glancing at the screen.
Lovely, lovely recording ❤
I mean… She is unbeatable!
Enjoyed listening to that mystery, thanks.

Spectacular!
Hastings should know by now to not to question Poitrot’s decision.
I figured the mirror part and knew the dr wife wasn't all she claimed to be
Another channel has the same book with a different beginning. It starts out with the old lady in the village.

Hope this radio drama is not to complicated
I jumped ahead in the video to see if this was a full episode, a complete story. Well, of course, my gut instinct was right. At the 43:40 mark, after the credits were spoken for this chapter, the radio announcer stated that "you can hear *the final part* of Dumb Witness" on another night. So exactly which part is this video? How many broadcasts were there, and why doesn't this YT video's title indicate that this is not a full story? Honestly, it's becoming tedious and daunting trying to find good audio drama here, ones that aren't repeated (I hate when a production ends and then starts right over or begins again already in progress) or missing anything. I'm an inch away from giving up on this site to find decent listening material. While I understand that this is free, it should be intact and also a pleasant experience. I suppose that's asking too much of some uploaders.

If you go to 47:00 the story continues and concludes.

There as a BBC Radio commercial break, then the news (a neat look back), then the story continues to its conclusion. Cheers!
7:19 Is this dog a dog or a human barking like a dog? It sounds like that. 😅

According to the credits, Bob the dog is “played by Richard Beeswell” so I imagine it may be a person, and not a dog.

Apparently they always are humans barking! I have this on DVD and have watched it many many times. Bob is something like Airedale though in DVD version so authentic dog noises...

Sealyham maybe and not Airedale... Funnily enough, the dog pictured here is the one that currently lives with me...a JR TERROR. .
Why in the wirld didn't they cut out ythe news and commerials. Mrs Christie is the master!
