I find it easier to hold your dragon when helping with the loose shed. Beautiful little lizard 🦎

His/her little temper tantrums are so cute.

You did right by taken that loose shed off as it prevents them from scratching themselves when they are so itchy.

If you want to try to help try a soak and then GENTLE massage, you shouldn’t actually pull anything off. A good amount of time just soaking can help relieve some of the itch and makes it easier for her to pull it off on her own time, just make sure she has access to stuff to safely rub on. If it’s ready it will come off with little to no effort. She was trying to tell you to stop several times and she was more stressed than relieved at the end there which is the opposite of what you want. If the beard turns black that means you or something is upsetting her, if she shakes her head that means nope it hurts, if she tries to run that means it definitely hurts. You gotta work with her and not force her, stress is harmful for small animals and if you make her mad enough she won’t trust you at all and it would take a lot of time and effort to mend the relationship.

Omg please hold her when you do it,you are hurting and scarring her,but be very gentle around her eyes,make sure you get every single little bit out of her eyes or she will get infected eyes please. This is horrible way to peel off her skin,can't you see she is very uncomfortable,you love her so be gentle and hold her she want bite you if your gentle and talking to her.

If your new to this PLEASE research on how to take care of these adorable creatures, because you are not supposed to take off there shed and it’s nails are unclean and unhealthy I understand if your new to taking care of a bearded dragon just don’t manually peal it’s skin off they do it on their own

@@DareDareTh Its ok to peel the loose shedd or if theres skin on there eyes and in the nose. But make sure you bathe in nice warm water, put her in slowly. The water makes the shedd softer and easier for skin to come off. There are videos to watch on you tube on how to take care of your beardie. Your doing great,Just hang in there. And good luck😊

You can see it at the bearded dragon is not very comfortable so I had to help my bearded dragon once but it wasn't ready but he couldn't get it off and so I had to help him only once so you can see that it's not ready so please next time if it's ready you can get it but if it's not ready please do not can you can see it's uncomfortable

She doesn’t look like she’s enjoying that. Maybe you should go get a nice 2+degree sunburn. Wait about 36 hours then as your drunk buddy with the shaky hands to try to peel you with 80 grit sand paper

Wonderful video and beautiful music!! You did right by taking off the shed it was clearly ready. Ignore the haters, some miserable people must always try to bring others down. Also these ignorant people need to research the dangers of stuck shed because it can cause a multitude of health issues for reptiles. You are an awesome beardie parent!! Keep up the good work❤️

I agree she is fighting it. My bearded dragon doesn't mind me taking her skin off

Stop picking at her skin. She does not need your “help”. You are hurting her. Don’t get an animal if you do not know how to care for it properly.

@@officially.moniii it shouldn’t exactly hurt, it’s theorized it’s uncomfortable and itchy but as long as the skin isn’t pulled off prematurely it shouldn’t hurt. That said even when it’s ready to come off it can be uncomfortable in certain areas, I know my boy hates when his mouth and nose shed.

Bathing her wil help all that loose skin and keep her itching at bay.

She needs a soak

tweezers. and her beard was black when she ran away- there are some very good videos that show you how to help her properly. esp on the eyes
