everyone complaining about the time, Mr. Redmond needs to get paid for his contributions, and Mr. Garland has to afford that. If you want more time, donate more to the AGA or buy lessons from Mr. Redmond maybe? ;D Love these videos btw :3

Though there is a sgf file, I still think the video is too short and hasting, it would be great if it's 10 more minutes to give a more complete story. (Of course it takes time, so I understand the difficulty, please don't feel any pressure.)

I too would love another 10 minutes. I recommend shooting twice as much content as needed, and deciding later which bits to cut, since cutting is much easier than adding.

Thank you for this series. Great commentary. I don't see why Garlock thinks it's his duty to manage Redmond's time though.

I think it is his duty. He's like the marketing guy. Probably the organization decided, yeah let's make half-hour videos.

If you drop the ad hominem from that argument, you might be able to frame it constructively, which might even improve these videos.

I'm pretty sure it is his literal duty. They're producing 60 of them after all, and I doubt Redmond's time is free.

Nobody told him to make them this long. I'm not sure how they arrived at this length, but i do know that there's no one in the org who would make the decision and tell him "these must be half an hour".

Whyyyyyy are we talking about someone in the third person this way? It's not like we can't reach him! Wouldn't be significantly more polite and constructive to bring him into this conversation?

@@Herv3 Yi admitted he had no chance by the mid-game. In commentary after his match he stated his belief that no human player currently held a chance even if it did not receive komi points. Master does not care by how much it wins and plays a poor end-game once it has secured victory.

I liked this commentary, I think the length is a lot better. I think it has enough ideas for one session. It's like a clever photograph with too many things to look at is not the greatest shot, even if there are lots of good things in it. The great photo is one with impact and beauty, but also fine detail if you look closer. This is the great commentary equivalent. You want more, look closer, or look at another photograph! :-)
