The Pete drives really well without the shims so far, we will see after a few runs if we should add them.

Bro I got one question about the caster shim, my truck the pulling to towards the passenger side a little, did you put the caster on only one side or both side ? Please let me know, you been really helpful. Can’t wait for the next video, thank you

Looks like the frame is resting on the shock mounts. Is that true? Or is it using the bump stops in the bag?

I have the 12 gauge kit on my 379. Wish it went lower. Any suggestions for a spring on a 379? Great videos and cool trucks! 👍🏻

Everyone installs these same ag130 leaf springs on all trucks when going air ride. On 379 it will fit too you will just have to fab up new hood mounts because they will be in the way.

Really hard to find a shop around here that wants to install them, we don’t have the shop to do it yet.. hopefully one day

Where can you buy the springs?

I have aftermarket air ride on my Pete that I bought 6 months ago and when you mentioned the wobble from the air ride it made me think mine is not quite right and might need that shim you were talking about. How could I determine it was done correctly and what I might need?

Could be a lot of different things, what leaf springs you running 1 or 2 or 1 1/2? You can also upgrade these longer ag130 leafs.

Where did you get the ag130 leafs from? Also do you know the part number for the leaf bracket for the frame?

You can use same hangers you have but you will need to move it back 5” like I did on the w900. Pete 389 leaf springs are longer than 379

On the Pete we did not and it rides really good. Kenworth really need them

What the psi after install the 1 1/2 springs?more than before?

Yeah at 50 psi truck sits same height as I was at 30 psi before. So need to ride at higher pressure.

You can either use a 12 gauge Gen 3 kit they sell on 4 state trucks or it’s actually cheaper if you buy all the ag130 factory air ride parts online for the 4 bag system

Yes big improvement, can barely feel the axle now over bumps.
