The reason I have an Aphex tattoo on my arm is to remind me of two things. One is that Aphex has inspired me to create my own music and two is because it's the most thought provoking music I've ever listened to. I know it's cliche, but his music changed my life, especially the Analord Compilations. I'd give anything to dance my brains out to this stuff live.

I think it would be a pretty boring one in the end. It's not a big rock star life, I think he's really mostly just in his head, and if he's not making music it's probably something simple like taking a nice walk. I don't think there is a big secret that a film or book could unravel. Even an interview book would be strange and still distant. Probably the same with Autechre and Squarepusher, they all seem like reclusive and private people who just go 100% for the music and listening to the music already brings us much closer to their minds than any book or film could.

When I'm at work in the shop for some reason I always have this or mydoom running through my head til it drives me nuts, but then I'm here again an hour before work listening to it. My brain hurts but I can't help it. Can you OD on AFX?

Good point.
god i love the aphex twin :)
if appliances became self aware, this is the song they would sing while they broke out of the warehouse to run amuck
Yeah, my friend thinks this is just sound. I fucking love RDJ. Genius...
Just great 🤓
thing is lots of people make music but this is unique.
Thanks twice
@withapencil exactly! It sounds like those old games... doom, rise of the triad, blood... good times with my first pentium
I named my toribash character after this song
i like this song very tripy when high, makes you think... good for just jaming out to.
This ! should have been on the voyager disc to send it in the interstellar space -
popo, popom. popo, popom. popo, popom. popopopopopopom.
@spartancid ..... no one comes even close to him... and the world will be poore for it when he passes on
Richard is laughing at you ALL.
The star sounds like something from the game plague inc.
Action 🌊
Well it is just sound. When you think about it. Failure to see more isn't a fault. I imagine alot of people think it's just noise, but even my three year old daughter loves certain aphex twin tracks and calls it music.
