Okay so William in the books is like this: he has a Type A personality. He is driven by perfection and is very competitive. He also needs to be in control. Also when I mean by "perfection" I mean PERFECTION! I also forgot to mention that he is an evil, selfish, and sadistic murderer. He kills any witnesses to keep himself from getting caught, which shows his cowardly side. Tbh he is not a Sociopath, he is in the Psychopath category, which makes sense as, when alive, Afton was perfectly capable of disguising himself as a functional member of society being a pretty successful businessman, a married father of three with only a bit of domestic abuse and he could gain the trust of children and adults alike.
