Abbreviated thoughts: having a dining plan can make the vacation feel all-inclusive, which can be very relaxing and nice. On the other hand, you have to plan your meals around your credits, which can be a pro or a con based on whether you want more or less structure. Not having a dining plan allows for more freedom to eat whatever you want, whenever you want, but you'll end up pulling out your credit card or scanning your Magic Band a lot, and watching those charges rack up isn't super fun. For some, the dining plan is too much food, in which case paying out of pocket is better. Money-wise, it really depends on where you want to eat and what you want to order. Sometimes a dining plan will save money and other times it will not. 2. Blair Lamb so glad you mentioned talking further on the dining plan. We used it for the first time in Sept and were shocked by what value we could get out of it. We did character dining and some fancier restaurants and on the last day we still had TONS of snack credits leftover for fun snacks to bring home! It’s definitely a game changer

For sure Disney has the best customer service out there. We have had several amazing things but one still remains in my heart. I have 3 kids. #2 is my son and he is autistic. As always we started at MK and stoppes to get the DAS pass. Well we had to get our whole group linked. When we met up with our group later in the day, to say i was tired and frustrated would be putting it mildly. My son had a very stressful meltdown filled day. When i spoke to a cast member to get our group linked the day caught up to me and i burst into tears. I was embarrassed and asked the CM to please ignore me. She finished what linking cam around gave me a big hug brough my son and daughter to a store and "bought" each of my three children a mickey (#2) minnie(#1) and pluto (#3) plush. She said to enjoy our trip magic is always around the next corner. Cam held his every day and continues to sleep with it. Disneys magic moments are incredible. Thanks for the great content!

Patricia Reposa This made me cry!! I have 5 kids. I know how hard motherhood can be without a kiddo with special needs, so I imagine that you have struggles even I can’t imagine. What an incredibly special and touching moment. Thank you so much for sharing that with us.

The fact that you said you didn’t record the afternoon tea because you didn’t want to ruin anyone’s experience is incredibly thoughtful. Vlogging is part of how you make your living, and to think of other people shows your heart. This is why I love your videos! You seem like such a genuine selfless person. I think part of what I like most about your Disney Vlogs is that the montage music reminds me of the music when you play the Sims.

What?!?!? Surprise dining plan?!?! How awesome is that?!?! Disney Magic at its finest!! Sorry about the transportation issues! Not fun!! It's like Planes, Trains and Automobiles!! Anytime fast passes are great though!! The tea sounds (I'll use your words), lovely!!

Me and my husband are planning a Disney world trip for our first wedding anniversary. The last time I went to Disney I think I was like 5 so I don’t remember much. But I have been asking to go back ever since we met and we are finally planning to go.

I worked as Front Desk in the resorts for the Disney College Program and that actually happens a lot with the dining plan! I loved telling people they got a free dining plan because for some reason it just wasn't taken off their reservation even when they got a refund for it!

I love the fact that there were negative things in your day but you didn't let them ruin your day, you kept focusing on the positive. Such an amazing quality to have. More people in this world need that wonderful quality! Thanks for sharing

Drinking game: when Blair says “cozy” or “lovely” on the vlogs. 😘 I love EPCOT and always feel bad that people don’t appreciate just how “lovely” it is. 😍 But seriously though...the World Showcase is one of our favorite places to be, especially at night. There’s just something magical about all of the experiences in the little shops and restaurants. I LOVE anything bath and body related too. I’m a sucker for anything that smells fresh: candles, hair products, perfume, lotions, laundry detergent, shower gel, body wash. My family thinks I have a bit of an addiction to candles. They could possibly be right. That’s just between me and you though.

I know it doesn't help you much now 😂, but for anyone in the future, you can walk from the TTC to the Poly and you can walk from the Poly to the Grand. Its a bit of a walk, but can be much faster than waiting for busses :)

So much Disney magic! So exciting for you two.

I cry every time I see or hear Happily Ever After Our first experience with the show we did the dessert party, it was out sons first birthday and our first time taking him to Disney. My mom had just moved to Florida and we knew we would only see her maybe once a year, my husband and brother were there. I bawled during it, and now I cry every time I hear it. The memories you make this is magical place last forever. We go next weekend and I can not wait. We haven't seen my mom in a year and a half and our son is a whole different person now, I am so excited to hug her and just live in the Disney bubble filled with love and pure joy for a week

and now I am crying at work, haha! I called Disney to make sure we were all set a few weeks ago and they asked if we are celebrating anything while there, and out of nowhere I started to cry, I had no idea I was so excited and so emotional about seeing her and having her see my son, so that was awkward, but the Cast Member was amazing and understood. I collected myself, we finished our call and she told me to have an amazing trip with my mom and I lost it again, haha!

What an amazing blessing! And that is SOOOO Disney to just let you use the credits! Talk about Pixie Dust!!! WOW!!! So did you end up using a lot of those credits? I totally would have loaded up on snacks to take home!!! LOL!

I love Living with the Land, too! I find it so informative and relaxing. I think those quiet rides are nice to have to unwind from the sometimes frantic Disney pace. Love your videos!

My favorite pavilion is France, there is something so so magical and beautiful that just makes me so happy and calm in that pavilion, not to mention Les Halles is AMAZING!! It was especially nice staying at the Boardwalk Villas this past summer because it was a 7 minute walk to Epcot from our room. It was such a treat!!

The afternoon tea looked like so much fun! And how amazing that the dining plan showed up on your account even though you cancelled it & got a refund. There's some Disney magic for you! That was also nice that you each got 3 fast passes due to the transportation issues later that night. Le Cellier looked so cozy & the food looked delicious. The exact same thing happened to us on our April trip. We had a party of 6 and found out two days into our trip that the dining plan had been added to our account! A good dose of Disney magic for sure!!!

We experienced some serious monorail frustration that same night as we arrived waaayyy after our reservation time for Storybook Dining at Artist Point! Worried that they wouldn’t fit us in, but they did. Highly recommend that dining experience, it was our favourite this trip.

lol at Riley talking about not having to share caviar. We ate at Le Cellier two years ago on our babymoon and it was one of the best meals I've ever had at Disney. I can't believe your luck on this trip! Free Disney dining credits (!!!) and the three any-time FastPasses (even though the reason for getting them was not lucky.)

Hey Blair!!! Just a quick note for you... If your monorail ever stops again at the TTC and you are staying at the GF, just walk to the Poly because the TTC is literally across the parking lot, and right to the GF on the pathway. It's so easy. You would have been back at the Grand Floridian in about 15 minutes that way!!

On our last trip to Disney, there was a major glitch in their system and our dining plan kept showing up and then disappearing, throughout our whole trip. In the end we got a bunch of credits added and a refund for everything (and some extra) for what we had to pay out of pocket. Disney is awesome when it truly is a glitch they can’t explain and they were always very helpful and nice about making sure everything went great for trip.

Oooooh! Afternoon tea is on my Disney bucket list, but I'm afraid it's too pricey for me. Also, so happy for you and not at all jealous that you got to stay at the GF!

Wow! How cool that they let yall keep the dining credits. My husband and I went on our honeymoon to disney in 2016. On our last day we had 4 credits left and when we went to use two of them they told us we that our account had been over charged for one of our signature dinners so they charged us twice! Customer service was PHENOMENAL. They fixed the problem for us and accidentally put 12 credits on our account instead of just the 4. We told them that we only had 4 left not 12 and they said no worries. It was a gift from Mickey and that he wanted us to end our honeymoon big! We ended up "snacking around the world" with our meal credits!. Disney sure knows how to treat customers. They are the best.

Oddly enough I had a very similar experience - long story short I changed my reservation from a package with park tickets to without because I ended up buying an annual pass. I spoke to someone over the phone and he seemed unsure that he could do it without canceling the reservation (and then losing my room at AKL). I was on hold for about 10 minutes then he says okay we fixed it, you just need to buy the other guest their 4 day park pass. The 2 sets of park passes never ended up going away even though I was refunded! So we now have 4 day park passes good through January 2020? Yay for glitches! haha

I had the same thing happen to me with the dining plan as well! I booked the deluxe dining plan and then just before I left decided to downgrade knowing there was no way we could eat all of that food. At our first restaurant we ate it, they informed me I was on the deluxe program, I also went to concierge and got the same response that you did. I know I changed it and was refunded, but crazy how that happened!

The same exact thing happened to our family with getting a “free” dining plan! I cancelled the plan and got refunded, and then showed up to Disney and we had a dining plan on our account! The concierge said we were free to use it, just like you! Wow so crazy! Can’t believe that happened to you too! The Garden Tea looks incredible, I would love to try!

Girl, you got more then a little pixie dust today! We go home to the Poly tomorrow. I just hope for a tiny bit of pixie dust. Haven’t in any of our trips yet, although we are always happy with our trips
