Well you guys overloaded the website and it’s down 🤣🤣🤣. Secondly one quick update. The motor was replaced last year after the car hit a curb and lost all Of its oil and killed the bearings. But as mentioned here it’s still a 100% stock replacement :-)

Amen to #2 especially. The amount of times other channels have the potentially epic soundtrack of an engine, whether a throbbing rotary on idle, a buzzing inline 4, cackling V8 or singing V10... But instead there is some god awful music over the top. Even if it was Pantera or some other killer groove that suits the mood of the engine or I'd happily listen to any other time ... NOT when the motor is running! 😬 I realise I'm ranting about the bad behaviour to those displaying the good! Sorry!

F1 comeback was huge achivemnt by itself but Willliams ruined it, not intentionally of course. You can not shine and prove anything in the worst team with all of theirs problems and being 2nd driver. You just can't show your potential with crap car in a team which is sinking. That's why Williams is sold right now and it's not any more family f1 team. Reputation is damaged and peaope think, yeah that's because of his right arm, he is not anymore the same driver etc

From a business perspective they were trying to steal from him, Hes justified in bitching about that. I say this because his business model isnt set up for track rentals, Its set up for street driving. Where you dont incur the extra maintenance fees, So you can charge less and still remain profitable. Which is why when a customer wants to go to a track they charge extra, to cover those costs. Thats like someone setting up a beer tent in front of my bar and charging 4 dollars a bottle of beer but then coming into my bar and buying from me at my rate. Its sketchy at best.

Kubica actually lapped 4 seconds quicker than Emerson Fittipaldi's qualy lap in 1976 (the last GP held at the Nordschleife). Granted, he drove in a Copersucar which was quite crap, qualified 20+ seconds slower than pole, but even that crap was a F1 car, driven by a two time world champion. Really impressive to do that in a stock BMW.

Did anyone notice the unusual angle of Robert's right wrist on the steering wheel when he was driving the M4. His right arm was severely severed in his Ronde di Andora Rally crash in 2011 but it was saved and rebuilt over time by some amazing surgeons. He's a pretty gutsy bloke and I hope we see more of him.

This video should be mandatory to watch for all people saying Motorsport is pointless - Motorsport is exactly the reason we now have access to tech on a level allowing a mostly stock car to survive over 700km of track racing. That means that same tech will not go to bits while you're taking your family on a holiday trip. You can just use it and trust it and not worry about a 1000km motorway trip requiring anything more than refueling once in a while. And all of that thanks to racing and endurance racing in particular

  • @McKeeMotorsport

There aren't any surprises here, and I think George shows that in his responses. Wheel bearings are consumable in any circuit use, and as you know the 'Ring is seriously vicious for those. You'd change them before a VLN race, wouldn't you? As for the brakes and tyres.. Doing that distance on 1.5 sets of tyres and still having half the pad left after 750km at near-race pace on such sticky tyres is testament to how well Kubica has managed the car. Thanks for sharing, but anyone saying the cars aren't strong enough is dead wrong. This is seriously impressive.

4:18 and onwards: I second that! Only time I've tried Nürburgring IRL so far was in july 2010 in a caged Suzuki Swift Sport (from RentRaceCar, don't think Theo und Heide runs it more, sadfully?) and 4 laps. First lap was OK, did some safe overtakings and had a feeling of hitting apex 90-95% perfectly for each corner and felt quite a quick lap on cool down from Döttinger Höhe. On 2nd and 3rd lap TONS of traffic! Porsches, Ferraris, the brand new LFA, BMW M4's, E92's and other cars with lots of power. Really, REALLY stressfull constantly having to look in your mirrors. Moreover a lot of drivers seemed not to be able to control the horse power. The constantly interrupted rythm led to some sort of nausea for me, having the thought more times just to park in the grass (though knowing that would not exactly be safety neither, ofcourse - hope ppl don't actually do that) until traffic cleared. Then I tooked a little break and picked up my girlfriend up for the last lap. She stated at least ten times that I should drive slowly, since she's afraid of speed. Before my drive, we had an instruction lap by old Theo himself (ACE driver!) in his Touran (must've been tuned), which made her seasick, sitting in the middle of the back seat- for me his instruction lap was all the money worth itself renting the car). But at lap 4 with my girlfriend in 'guest seat', the heavy traffic was gone, just normal traffic. Said to her that I felt the safest actually driving at speed, not having to look that much in the mirror. After around 30 x "STOP STOP STOOP" she finally relaxed at about Klostertal/Steilstrecke, and seemed accustumed to my driving. So I had my best exhillerating full gas ride between Wipperman throug Pflanzgarten right to Galgenkopf and no noisy sound from the passenger seat, just silence :-) Just this last section (and Theo's instruction lap) was all money worth it, desipite only enjoying less than half of the total distance behind the wheel. And that was in 2010. Now we have 2020 and I imagine it has gotten only worse with heavy trafic, mainly due to all the YT channels and videos which inaugurates new drivers to the track. I've watched (read: admired) Mishas videos the last three years or so and I see a lot of traffic indeed during TouristFahren. So the last couple of years I've had the thoughts to re-enter the track, maybe in a car with more power, but everytime I've have bad thoughts about increasing traffic. ...OK, no...I HAVE to go there again :-)
