you can just connect the red wire to the white cs+/ce+ wire next to the ground wire on the corsa stereo loom connector as this is the ignition wire for the stereo

We were stuck not knowing how to connect the red wire… you saved the day, even tho it did mean a 3rd visit to Halfords today. Thanks guys

Think it was mini but their very cheap on ebay get both to be safe.

Hi i need a bit of help with the fuse so i see you took out the blue fuse with a number 3 and what number is the replacement for it in red? 9:30

I see that there’s an additional blue cable dangling attached to the Ariel cable, did that have any use or was it just made redundant?

My car stereo *Sony* has already a 10 amp fuse on it. Does it still need also the 10 amps at the adapter (fusebox)?

Struggling so much to install one loads of harnesses tried the cigarette wires all 3 none work any help

And I wonder on which device fuse you connected the adapter.. or did you use an empty one? I have nothing with 3 amps.. what device are on that 3a?

does it work without ignition on and if so how did you get it to do that i’ve followed what you have done but my it won’t stay on without ignition

What wire do i use from the fuse box to the back of the stereo and how do i get the wire from stereo to the the fuse through the back

Changing the stereo unit now. Am I OK to cut directly into the black power cable for the power or do I need to disconnect from the battery first?

Make sure it’s the right cable first and I have never disconnected the battery before but always best to be safe.

Use a fuse spur... Take the 12v red wire to the fuse box. Pop in a 10amp (for stereo) and link with the 12v which is usually 15 or 20amp...easy peasy. Don't need to disconnect from battery. As you should only be working with switched live or ignition feed wires... Should need cut into wires as all you need to do it link off the reb and into fuse... All you need is crimps, wire strippers. Electrical tape (for making sure the connection doesn't come loose from butt connectors and a multimeter is good practise.

What size are the fuses in your fuse box. micro or mini?

Yep use pliers or use another fuse!

There should be an aux socket on the centre console near the 12v

Add a fuse micro Was from halfords I recommend buying 5 of Ebay it’s and comes with fuses so much better than halfords. I don’t think 15, 20 fuse matters haven’t had any problems.

If you ever wire anything else up shop on ebay much cheaper to buy 5 off ebay than 1 from halfords I think I might hardwire led lights to my car!

@@MrBillyVlogs ye I got my wire for the back of stereo of eBay but needed that one quick av done it now got power but the radio stays on when engines off I have to turn it off by the stereo av connected mine to that radio fuse do you think I connect it to the starter fuse then it might start up auto when I turn engine on? N yeh that be cool

The red cable is a power cable, it should go into the black wire connector housing

Love the vid, cheers mate. With the add a fuse, am I right in thinking you put a 10A fuse in one socket to power the head unit and the 3A fuse that was already in the fusebox in the other socket?

red is ignition , orange is illumination . you’ll need to get the red into a non permanent live or an ignition live, so like cigarette lighter or what the vid says, i haven’t found where to put the illumination cable yet and i’m in the same issue with you as i can’t get to the cigarette lighter live. might just go for the F13 3 amp fuse like vid said and find another way for the orange

Orange we left that we never needed it and red we took a fuse out the glovebox put a add a fuse then connected the red to the add a fuse cable.

Check out, pumpkin headunit for vauxhall. I think it will look much better, it’s touch screen else well😁
