Amazing effort put forth! Don’t you just love seeing the fruits of you labor. A clean space!!! My kids are all grown now and out of the house, and I remember this well. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would set up a barrel with a liner in it in the kitchen, put out all paper plates and cups and disposable cutlery. Then I’d ask the folks that are being in the house all day to have fun, eat, drink, and just toss all that stuff directly in the barrel. Use paper towels and napkins to just throw away too! That may help with the kitchen surprise when you get home 😂. If you find a toy in there…. Oh well, it gets retrieved and washed up ❤

The way you quickly & effectively tackle these chaotic messes is so incredible - I come home to a mess of my own creation & I usually just step over & around things rather than making it better because I'm just too tired from the day & never really know where to start 😅

Yes, I just put in my first load of laundry in over a month. My husband washes his own laundry, and helps me with clean white towels. I recently retired, and my daughter is going through a break up after 9-10 years. I am so depressed I am frozen. I see what I can easily do, but there is no motivation. I’m concentrating on me getting my meds on time and keeping my kitchen clean. Feeding our pets and farm animals. ❤️

Having to deal with the loss of my mum is tough as well as being autistic and single parenting two autistic kids. Seeing your shorts really helps me so thank you ❤

Love you think that the kids enjoying time with grandad and not worry about making a mess. The only problem that triggers me is the washing up in a bowl of dirty water and not rinsing them off. So the last dish is washed in dirty oily water which is left on the dish to dry. But o guess each person does things their way ❤

As a grandmother who used to try to take care of the kids and help clean too, I have changed time goes by so fast and I want the memories of me to be playing and doing things with them not cleaning. Their mom and dad can clean we will be playing. 🤷🏼‍♀️😁. ps I have 16 grand babies. You are doing a wonderful job be proud of yourself.

I did this with my kitchen today. My 11yo made cookies from scratch last night and my kitchen looked like an episode of hoarders when she was done. So I just got right on it and it was back to normal in no time, in spite of the panic the sight induced. I too am used to controlling chaos in a short time.

May I ask why you wash dishes in the sink, in a tub? I'm genuinely curious what the reason is. I see a few brittish you tubers use a washing tub in their kitchen sink... but there's a sink there to use? 🤔😅 is it because your washing machine is in the kitchen too? Can someone answer this for me please? I'd love to know!

I’m pretty sure nowadays it’s just a cultural habit (American here, with British ancestors). Sinks were more utilitarian (dirty) so the dishpan is more sanitary. The dishpan is more gentle on the dishes (less chipping, less noisy). Dishpan uses less water. It leaves the sink available for other uses. You can control the temperature of the water better (some sinks don’t mix the temps - you either get scalding hot or freezing cold). But mostly habit :)
