And how USA became a country ? Slaughtered , starved , closed in reserves the native populations and took their land . Americans have no moral ground to question or to judge another countries actions . Personally I think Tibet should be an independent country . But suddenly after half century Americans have interest in Tibetan freedom ? Their intentions are very clear and have nothing to do with Tibetan interests.

Don't blow away your chance! India's GDP is now greater than UK's, but G7 NEVER counts India as one of them. Even Japan is still not counted by the West as one of them, while Australia is. You cannot stop the West preaching you AND stop China from occupying Tibet AT THE SAME TIME. Stop begging to be ignored in BRICS & SCO, India's only chance to rise to relevance.

Gen. Bakshi is a great patriot, served mother India for quite a long period of time very efficiently. He knows & means the business. However, the importancy of free Tibet is practically extreme. In fact in 1947,Tibet was an absolutely free country.Continuing the british arrangements with Tibet, India Govt.had been managing several internal & external jobs of Tibet with due responsibility, viz, post & telegraph system, transport, foreign relation, internal security etc, etc, fully or partially. In 1951,the new communist govt. of china "requested" Govt.of India to withdraw all the Indian armed forces & civil petsonnel from Tibet, which was promptly done, rather in a harry,by the then Indian Govt. leaded by none else but the same person, who made the himalayan blunder by siezefiring in Jammu & Kashmir inviting UNO to intetfare in our internal defence matter, the great jawaharlal Nehru! Now, look, if we dont have Tibet as a free country with amicable & mutual relation with us, and if she remains under chinese control, in future, not very far away, we will have to suffer for river water scarecity, since the greedy chineses will try their best to divert the river-courses of Tibet from flowing to south to north-east, ie china! So,we must get properly & adequately prepared for a real dangerous prolonged war. We must nurse friendships with all the chinese-neighbouring countries plus with other strong countries ready for enemity with redchina. We should await the right moment when redchina will be engaged in various problems including war with any other country.

“Arunachal Pradesh” is stolen territory from Tibet. British India invaded Tibet and forced Tibet to sign the Simla Convention, chopping off Tibet's territory at the McMahon line, thus expanded into Tibet's territory. British India/Raj stole 60 miles of territory (about 32,333 square miles) north of Assam up to the McMahon line. This is Tibet's territory which British India did not previously own. This is an ill-got gain of territory by conquest and invasion. India inheriting the ill-got gained territory is no excuse to keeping the stolen territory. So British Raj and India were and are the wrongdoer, the expansionist, and the bully.

As a Brics citizen in SA, I wish India and China could resolve their border dispute and enable the Triumphate of China, India, and Russia to counter NATO. I also do not think India should appease the US by resurrecting the Tibet issue. Both India and China must seek genuine compromise on the border issue.

The Indian army is the worst army among all China's opponents. China's war of resistance against Japan lasted 14 years, the Chinese civil war lasted 4 years, the Korean War lasted 3 years, China's self-defense counterattack against Vietnam lasted 2 months, and China's border war with Vietnam lasted 10 years. India's understanding of "war" is too narrow. We Chinese believe that India has never experienced a real war. In 1962, in the eyes of the Chinese, it was not a war, it was just an armed conflict between China and India. In 1962, the short armed conflict of only 32 days continued India's nightmare for decades. What makes the Chinese feel funny is that a border conflict has turned India into a "Battle for the Defense of the Capital of New Delhi".

@@gjsharma3061 Are you talking about 2020? China is not like India. We do not allow rumors to exist, especially on major issues. It is cruel and heartbreaking to talk about the casualties of both sides. I remember that China announced that four PLA soldiers died heroically. But the number of casualties of the PLA announced by the Indian media is several times or even dozens of times this number. I just hope that Indians with a little bit of rationality will believe that the reports of the Indian media are exaggerated. Putting aside the casualties of both sides. Let's look at the prisoners. No one of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was captured by the Indian army. But many Indian soldiers were captured by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, including two Indian officers. It is clear who is stronger and who is weaker between the Chinese and Indian armies. If you use your brain, you will know that if the Indian army caused heavy casualties to the PLA, would our PLA let the Indian prisoners return to India alive? No, we will hand over the bodies of the Indian soldiers to the Indian government. This once again proves that ordinary Indians have been living in false information. In 1962, if India had a little understanding of the Chinese people and the combat effectiveness of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, it would not be shocked when India failed.

In 1962, there was an armed conflict between China and India, not a war. The major cause of the armed conflict was India's interference in Tibet. The direct cause of the conflict was India's rash implementation of the "Forward Policy". Go and look at the reports of major Indian media in 1962. At that time, India was fanatical and irrational. Indians said they would deal with China like they dealt with Goa. An Indian general described that if the soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army heard gunshots, they would leave. Look again at China's newspaper reports in 1962, especially the advice of China's "People's Daily" to India. India turned a deaf ear. Also in 1950, China's warning to the United States was also turned a deaf ear by the United States. However, the United States in 1962 knew what would happen. The United States and Britain's flattery and instigation of India made India lose its mind (otherwise how could it implement the Forward Policy?), and the Soviet Union's military support for India (at that time, Sino-Soviet diplomatic relations were at odds) made India forget everything. But those who participated in the Korean War, the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom all knew the outcome. Only India itself did not know. And India today is very similar to what it was in 1962.

indians are good for distorting even historical facts. That's why they kept the war report of 1962 war written by Neville Maxwell classified. They cannot face reality or admit their own deeds. They will always avoid the truth of McMahon line and the ridiculous Simla treaty. One thing certain, india never learned from history and will repeat the same, the next war will be far more devastating and humiliating than 1962 for india.

I wish India had been one step ahead of the US and recognized Tibet as a sovereign country. We are waiting for India to take action. I noticed that India was quite surprised by America's sudden change of heart. Mody is very active and efficient when it comes to the interests of the Indian people but passive when it comes to the interests of Tibet.

Used to read your articles in “ Indian Defense Strategy “ magazines and many a time you mentioned China posed the greatest threat to India 90s. But Indian politicians had followed the policy of “Appeasements ” against China for a long time and yielded nothing and made Chinese bolder than ever before. Modi( BJP) is compelled to deter that policy which is not late yet. In a core diplomatic, I don’t think India will pursue for more bolder and stronger policies due to its nervousness and challenges faced in North eastern states, Indian Ocean and Kashmir. God forbid, if Congress comes to power!!!
