After the Storm (Skytop Guitars Demo) l Yasmin Williams
Музыка
Hey everyone! Here's a track off of my album titled "Urban Driftwood." In this video, I'm playing a beautiful, brand new instrument - a Skytop Guitars Grand Concert acoustic guitar. This guitar, built by Eric Weigeshoff of Skytop Guitars in New Paltz, NY, has a Tunnel 14 Redwood top, and the back and sides are made from Quilted Sapele. There are two large side soundports in lieu of a traditional soundhole in the front. These side soundports direct sound upward toward the player and out to the audience, creating an awesome 3D soundscape for the player.

Queen Yasmin! This song is one of my go-to’s when my heart and soul are weary. The comfort and respite I find in your music reminds me why to share music and inspires me to quit being so stingy with mine. Thank you for your generosity and vulnerability with your music. It makes my life a better place.
I hear the rain drops and water dripping off the roof.
YOU ARE BEYOND GIFTED, MS. WILLIAMS--A GIFT TO THE WORLD.
I thank the stars I listened to NPR the other day and heard the most melodious and beautiful sounds while driving home… I am now tuned in while remotely working and it is the most calming music that we all need to hear. I play the acoustic guitar and appreciate all acoustic musicians. Love your fingerpicking style that is unique and you have such beautiful guitars. It inspires me to play more. Thank you. You are a blessing. I hope to see you play in person one day so I can feel your sounds as they emanate in the space.
Wow!
Just so lovely
Unreal!
Thanks for this inspiration 💜 Creativity shouldn’t stop with becoming a parent, thats when life really opens up and we can gain deeper understanding about ourselves, and mysterious existence itself! This is stuff I’m exploring on my channel with a DIY reality show UV:TV- about being a musician and mother during Covid :) Thankyou

Thanks for watching!
So sweet, beautiful playing and that guitar sure has a big sound.
Absolutely smoking guitar player, it never gets old watching you play. no matter how many times you hear any of your songs, it always seems fresh and as a guitar player you always find something that new that you didn't notice before. cheers Yasmin, Mehdi from North Vancouver, Canada. :-)
❤❤
This music is truly unique and inspiring. The song tells a story without any lyrics. I wish I was in town to see you and Andy McKee inTucson. Much love. Your songs are treasures

As I am too! My favourites are this track, "Juvenescence" for its hopeful, sunny yet gentle vibes and "Swift Breeze" for its galvanising energy. This is wholesome, affecting and almost spiritual music worth supporting! I do regret the fact that the compact disc has sold out, so I have resigned to just buying tracks. The only other instrumentalists that I have supported on Bandcamp are William Tyler and Gyan Riley. Do check them out too.
Beautiful! Your music is so magical and soothing.

Yeah definitely. Check out my new album that drops on January 29 if you get the chance! This song will be on it.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is your guitar tuned differently? It sounds lighter and more sortof crystalline or brighter and shinier to me than a regular guitar..almost like a harp..anyone else hear that or is it just me?? Thanks for sharing..How did you come up with the melody and chords for this?
@YazMelodies

Thank you! It's tuned to open D. Open tunings have a crystalline, ringing quality for sure! Don't exactly remember how I came up with the chords and things. They kind of just write themselves!
How do you name your songs. That one is about perfect for that, but others...
The guitar doesn't have any soundholes? Or are the on the sides?

The sound "ports" are on the top side facing the player.
