Watching these in 2019, and remembering how much fun the 2010’s were for core metal.

These are by far some of the most talented musicians in the world, in my opinion. How do 2 people that good at an instrument meet?

I got to meet him about a year before he passed. I had never really listened to them before, and they happened to be opening for Trivium at The Norva in Norfolk, VA. They blew me away, and he was hanging out by the merch and I told him how sick his band was and then we nerded about guitar for a few mins. I ended up getting a picture with him. After that I really started digging into their music and became absolutely obsessed. Then the unthinkable happened. Rest in piece, you genius.

Wow, justin knew how to make a GREAT rhythm! AND he could play anything!

@Grotesque889 If you watch the other preproductions, it looks like Justin writes the drum parts. Dan IS the drummer, Justin (the guy with the Green guitar) is the guy who programs them. Then Dan memorizes them. It's like Meshuggah's writing process. (Dan went to school with my brother, I look up to him haha)

@wicked23s when they played with their 7 strings they were only a half step down. so the tuning from low to high was: Bb Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb And the same goes with the 8 strings. now they are: F Bb Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

@phadedlife The ringing he is talking about can happen behind the nut (or bridge with a TOM). For that you do need something to mute the strings behind the nut.

@PainfulExodus F standard (or half step down) on 8 strings, so F A# D# G# C# F# A# D#. When they use a drop tuning it's drop Eb or just F standard with the lowest string tuned down a whole step.

@NerosR3solution some guitars have tones that will ring out if you don't do that. My friend owns an ibanez RG2228 and if you don't put like a scrunchie or something on the headstock the strings will "ring" after playing notes and you can't mute it on the fretboard.
