I love how you had Marina hug agent 8 instead of any of the others doing so. Out of everyone she would understand the emotions of seeing the surface/Inkopolis square for the first time.

To be fair Marina also just got those older sister/mom vibes. Out of the wild, in-the-moment rich girl, the hardened old war vet, and the silent, distant soldier, Marina is definitely the most emotionally in touch.

Finding out what Tartar was going to do to them with that giant blender must have been terrifying, too, since he put Agent 8 through those traumatic tests just to do that.

it gets worse when you think about how all the enemy ooze and stuff was technically made out of other blended test subjects who couldn't escape kambo

Octarians are made of ink. The blended ooze is less gore, and more just Octarian stripped of identity and thought.

Hope 8 shows up in the dlc along with Marina and Pearl, the ending here warmed my heart I think both 8 and 3 are great friends after their two battles.

This was awesome!! I love how you were able to portray Eight's trauma from the tests and also how they can't help but be reminded of their trauma when they see Agent 3

MARINA HUGGING 8 LIKE "yes, you're safe now" IS MAKING ME CRYYY

I don't know why but when Marina hugged agent 8 at the end my brain. choked. is that normal? Just the decision to make _her_ the one hugging 8 instead of anyone else at that exact moment in that context is so obvious to do but it's so powerful at the same time

I LOVE THAT MARINA IS THE ONE WHO GAVE THE HUG AT THE END,,, she knows the relief to finally see the surface!

I like that Marina hugged agent 8 at the end, because they are both octolings, she would get it, she would know how it feels to arrive in inkopolis square, love the little details

Seeing 8 cry into Marina's arms is pretty sweet. After so many brutal tests, a confrontation with a brainwashed 3, and preventing the destruction of Inkopolis, finally being able to live a relatively normal life in Inkopolis is like stepping through the gates to paradise.

I never thought about how it would be like after the battle between 3 and 8. How 3 would feel so bad for hurting 8; Agent 3 took down an entire octarian army, I can only imagine how they would feel after seeing an octoling break free from the mind control and go through so much, and with the realization that they hurt the equivalent of an inkopolis citizen. You’re great at conveying the emotion here.

The ending of this is just outstanding! I always imagined agent 8 ( idk I forgot ) being so happy to see the place they daydreamed about and just wanting to be free. I did kinda cry on that part but I will say this has to be the best splatoon animatic I ever seen!

God this is good. Every part of it is beautiful and just *hits*. Agent 8 honestly went through the worst of it of any protag you play. You really get across the pain and impact, and they deserved the hell out of that view

Agent 3 and 8 need plenty of therapy and hugs after this dlc. That aside I’m glad this popped in my recommendations. Art is on point but i believe the big standout is the emotion you drew, how everyone would react realistically after suffering a bone shaking ordeal.

Just imagine 8 playing turf on Hammerhead Bridge only to see the NILS statue as well

I like the idea a lot actually. I mean you're literally an octoling that was in this situation. And you're tasked with fighting what is essentially the most effective inkling in the upper society. That as far as you know completely stomped on any other octoling that tried to fight them

Wow, didn’t expect to see an animatic from you. Also, I don’t know what Splatoon is, but this was pretty interesting to see. I don’t know why, but I imagined Luz in the final episode of the owl house where there’s a time skip, and she’s thinking about the time when the collector promised to free everyone if she beat his game. So Luz tried again and again to beat their game, but she kept losing each time

Well Splatoons a great game! It’s got fun mechanics, creative weapon designs, and a great and engaging story (especially in 3!) Also your concept of luz being in this type of thought process after beating the collector would be neat to see in the show:D

I haven’t played either but I have a friend that’s obsessed with it and told me the whole storyline, and I watch her play too. From what I can tell, it’s a great game, and I really hope I get a copy for myself soon

I just recently finished Octo Expansion and I remember thinking just how messed up it was that the test subjects were forced to wear basically a suicide bomb in each test chamber that killed them at the slightest mistake. ofc inklings and octolings don't actually die like that and can respawn and all, but it's still pretty dark to think about

Squid child with post-traumatic stress disorder. It's probably rough, living with awful memories that won't go away. I can't say, I don't have PTSD. But to those who do, I feel so bad for you.

I never really got why in a lot of interpretations, 8 easily forgave 3, for essentially becoming a manifestation of his/her own trauma involving the tests. The color teal would be burned into their mind, and seeing someone who was essentially that in the form of the very reason why they're even *in* the Deep Sea Metro... I wouldn't be surprised to see them go hog ham on 3 if they ever got the chance.

It makes sense tho, first time they were genuinely enemies, 3 with the splatoon, 8 with octavio, 8 defects after hearing the calimari inkcantation and the next time they fight, 3 has no choice because shes being possessed, they both had their own reasons and after octo expansion they wouldn't see each other as bad people (well they'd be a little wary at first prolly)

That galactic sea slug, is pure king of PTSD. At least the pain is finally over, for the young agent 8. And a new chapter begins, with Inkopolis square. _A place to always call home._ This was beautiful for a little short, felt the energy eight was feeling, poor wholesome bean. 💖✨🌟💖

OMG I love this so much! And 8 crying at the end seeing Inkopolis really got me

I just love the use of Regret. Probably one of my favorite songs in the series. I would say just about anything from Off the Hook is my favorite though. I love Color Pulse and the new stuff in Side Order is really good (Marina whispering in her boss music is so great).
