After termination, Byju's employee appeals to PM Modi for help

Byju's continues with its layoffs and cost-cutting initiatives. An impacted employee, Akansha Khemka recently expressed her distress through an emotional video, leveling accusations of fraudulent practices towards both clients and staff. She was left deeply upset after receiving a sudden termination letter without any prior notice. Seeking a resolution, she made a direct appeal to PM Narendra Modi for intervention. To compound its troubles, Byju's is also under investigation by the EPFO for non-payment of PF dues and is facing scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over alleged violations of FEMA.

    This is the problem that one must face when working in private sector. I am also working for a reputed MNC and have seen some of the layoffs over few months. All i can say is to use your experience and try in another organization. I know, path will not be easy. I wish to everyone undergoing such situations - please don't lose hope. All the best!!

    Culture in pvt companies is bad. Sab jagah 10-12 hrs work. Jahan Europe me sirf 6-7 hours pe day hota hai. Government itna tax leti hai but employees ko support nhi karti.

    @@vikramdas340 you can always lower your risks of getting into accidents for eg. taking of stairs instead of lift or escalator, crossing street through a bridge or zebra cross or maybe wait untill there's close to zero traffic left and by avoiding construction sites.. what I'm trying to point out here is that there's always a way to lower your risk in getting into situation like her. so, don't get me in a wrong way hope you get the point. Aur Rahi baat meri, I'll never fall into this situation because ever since I was a kid I've always been cautions and knew the consequences of every single step I took. That's why I've already become what I've always wanted through my own money and smart effort and most importantly proper research. I also have got many side hustles incase something goes wrong like getting sick or injured. As you see, my foundation is pretty solid and I'm already prepared and has cultivated enough strength(skills& abilities) through all the years in order to face whatever is about to befall upon me. peace

    Standard is company have to payout the notice period salary - no sane management would want fired employees to work (the whole morale will be down and the person could either be non productive in best case scenario and probably sabotage or disrupt work in the worst case scenario )

    She should go to the Labour Courts or Tribunal and sort this out. There are many well-to-do companies in India like Byju, which do not have consistent operational policies. The employees are the easiest targets for these companies. Inconsistent salary payments, secretive appraisals, selective promotions, selective bonuses etc. Many things will come out to the public, if this lady chooses to take this company to the Courts.

Today's world is like that. Everything is fast/quick. When everything happened, you enjoyed. In the same way, when things go down, one must be prepared to walk out gently with earned experience.     Private sector jobs are never a permanent job - especially startups - the basic mantra is NEVER EVER love your company, just be professional - working in private sector is risk - negotiate and get renumeration for this risk. As for international standard - in pretty much all first world countries (US, UK, Middle East, Signapore etc. ) - 2 - 3 weeks of notice is the standard ( that too for termination, it is usually immediate - in most US companies security would make sure you exit the office premises - yes it is that inhumane and harsh ) It is much better with 2 - 3 month notice periods in South East and Far East countries - but not all that better.

    Nobody will help, you can't expect justice in India. Recently one of my friends reported a recruitment scam at HCLTECH, even though he has proof of call recording HCLTECH that hasn't taken any action, HCLTECH officials tried to conceal the case because the scammer was HCLTECH senior manager.

    even my family got scammed by bujus in 9th grade, we spent one lakh and got some byjus subscription for one yr, nd wt we got was like a 30k Lenovo tab tat is now being used by my grandma to watch serials and the remaining 70k was for prerecorded videos, like tats it, no books, no tests, nothing, just prerecorded videos at 9th grade level

    If you really had any tangible skill you won't be crying here. What exactly do you do for Byju that makes you non expandable? Apart from developers the people are either solving doubts for 6th class students after having technical degree or prying on parents insecurities for selling products they don't need or facilitating all the above. Next job you take make sure you do something of value that requires skill or involves quality learning. Otherwise you again would be the first person company would kick out during financial distress.

These so called "Byju's experts" are extremely incompetent lazy engineers who work at call centre to entertain young students' doubt. When in-fact the agenda they are fulfilling is engagement with students NOT teaching.

    Byju's was just a bubble. They were charging thousands to students, while paying in hundreds to teachers. And they got only untalented teachers who taught for 300 rupees an hour. It was destined to burst. People who did not get job anywhere got jobs in Byju's. Now they are back in the jobless circle.
