What Christina is telling you about The Voice is that the coaching is mostly done by underlings and that there is no pathway to getting a record deal or career advancement for contestants from the show. The show is a facade.

It's because shows like The Voice are reality shows first before singing competition. It's mostly about the narrative and less about the talent. The Voice started out as a competition that's supposedly different from others. I guess she believed that at first. Now she sees it for what it truly is.

I think Kelly has changed the game. There is no guarantee but a coach who actually invests in their winner can make a huge difference

Her voice was pristine when she recorded that, it really has some of her best vocals ever (El Beso del Final, Contigo en la Distancia, Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti)... and there are Spanish versions of her debut singles like Genie, I Turn To You, Come On Over etc so if you liked her debut album you could enjoy this too. The only song that is really horrible is "Una Mujer", the Spanish Version of What A Girl Wants... So skip that! Poor WAGW, they did you dirty LOL

@@russell3993 It was when she debuted... The media sometimes called her like that. But then, Justin Timberlake used "The Voice of our generation" in an interview (I believe it was on Rolling Stone if my memory is correct) referring to Christina, and the media fully picked up that title.

So humble with so much talent, and a sense of humor to add. A legendary singer in history for sure!
So cute how she got flustered at the marriage question. I’ve never seen her get lost that way in an interview. But cute nonetheless.
Christina has always gave long deep answers to questions. She a smart girl. Its pretty refreshing to see how smart she is because so many others are not. Love her!
What Christina's saying is, going on the voice is a waste of your time, since you never hear of the contestants after that.

@@duaxsonespinoza2408 It's the same sitch with the UK version of The Voice too, not a single winner really. And one of the former coaches Paloma Faith (I love her) has said pretty much the same things as Christina is saying here.
The queen of redirection. I use many of these tactics for work. This is some strong PR training. Love the Britney response, “so you would work with her?” She controlled her answer which almost actually had a defined “yes” before recovering to the “ye-OU went to see her show, you have connections I don’t have”
Love Christina! She is so special to the world, so happy to see her chat with Andy, he holds her in such high regard great to see beautiful interviews like this!!
I love hearing about the backstory of the Mickey Mouse Club when she, JT, Britney, and Ryan Goslings were the "little nerds." It really is amazing that they all went on to be such huge stars.

She never disappoints! She’s genuine and I absolutely love her bubbly laugh. Love love love!

Saw Liberation Tour in Atlanta and she was AMAZING. She sang the hell out of that show, talked alot, was fun funny and personable. A feel good show! Go see her!!!

The real mystery up to now is why her speaking voice is so sweet and tiny and very "blonde", but when she sings, it's full of Soul and RnB and Gospel!!! Her singing voice is so dark and raspy and growly and all that good stuff!!!

Like all information private, I don’t know anymore about her than I did before I watched it.
She was a great guest! She seems very sweet and down to earth. I definitely get the vibe that she is not the typical, self-involved celebrity. I obviously don't know her personally, but she seems like an all around good person and I imagine she's also probably a great mother too. Love her!
