the reason why eyes and timothy "healed" you is because of the way I assume this mod works every time a door is opened it removes 1hp on your client. On your screen it looks like you took damage but on the actual server it stays full. This is also the reason why you couldn't find any bandages because the server thought you were at full even though on your client it was half health. Eyes made you take damage which synced your hp with the server making it normal. This same effect would also apply to bandages or vitamins (when they used to heal) if you got timothy at the start went on for like 50 rooms without taking (actual) damage then found a bandage that would heal you to full because even though your client says 45% health you actually have 95% health so a bandage would make you 100%. This is litterally just a normal doors run but the health bar lies to you.
