Seafoam green is a great psychologically lifting color- it literally makes you happier and calmer as you look at it!

I have always thrifted, and my last haul was basically my entire wardrobe right before leaving for college!! It's definitely the way to go, since I was able to find sturdier/sustainable clothes for a lot less!

Just yesterday, I thrifted 2 wood puzzles, a few educational games for homeschooling, and quite the haul of quality tops for my little man. Excellent thrifting day. Highly recommend oil changes near thrift stores. Hehe

First of all, You look amazingly great for being postpartum. Your thrifting sense, and you’re unbelievable gems, are so awesome!!! I loved everything you thrifted, and the fit.. omg, I am so envious!!!

I want to take a trip up to British Columbia just to go thrifting LOL! My husband would be on board with it because he loves going to thrift stores too(he's an avid book collector). Our daughter loves going to any store, so she would definitely want to go. BC seems to have fabulous thrift stores, lots of amazing deals on all kinds on items.

I can say I have never been thrifting, I didn’t even know that was a thing! But having 4 kids I’m thinking but will be a good idea! Also for the stain on that shirt try oxiclean, or vinegar and baking soda. . . And to add yes I am totally impressed with the effortless leg stretching!

A good way to test if pants will fit without trying them on: close the buttons and hold it up in front of you (how it usually is on the hanger) then hold to your neck. Your fingers should just touch in the back and it should fit? Otherwise you could measure half your waist circumference and know what that is compared to your arm or something you can easily hold up in the store that you'll always have with you!

I loved this! So you inspired me to do a “no buy” for whole year! I have made it this far without buying any clothes or shoes and my goal is to hit Jan 1st. I’ll be a year postpartum at that point and closer to feeling more like myself and through all the most messy parts of having a new baby. I need to figure out what I’m going to buy! I’d love to do a seasonal capsule wardrobe, I guess I should start planning that soon 😊 thanks for sharing your ideas!

I had so much fun watching this! Your commentary was hilarious...but so spot on. It's the conversation we all have with ourselves (usually in dressing rooms) about sizing, styles, and our bodies 😎 I'm 65...and let me tell you, comfort is where it's at!

The lady showing off her dress was the cutest.

If your striped top has an oil stain: add baby powder (with talc) and let it sit for a couple of days, shake off the excess powder, and throw into the wash like normal. The stain will be gone. If not all of it is gone, then repeat. This works even if the item has been thrown in the dryer. I learned this hack over a decade ago and it still works! 😉

You are one of my role models 🤍 and I won’t get sappy (this time hehe) talking about faith, minimalism, optimism and whatnot, but I’ll just say a warm and deep thank you 🥰 you keep me going at times

I love thrifting and love finding deals. I wear lined leggings in the winter and have found 2 of the brand I like, brand new, at the thrift store here. So fun. I also buy my tshirts, pullovers and other tops at the thrift store for all the reasons you gave.

I can totally agree with you on what xou said about pants! I also switched to pants and only have 3 jeans left (one mom, one white wide leg, one skinny).

Here in my country I thrift online because there are no such large physical thrift stores, also I do it by material: cotton, flax, wool, ramie, silk, etc. I have a lot of trouble with finding well-fitting pants. Anyway, nice practical pieces, Sarah! I am impatient to see how you will deal with colour in the future.

I went thrifting today and found a great bomber jacket for a few dollars and a beautiful skirt. I wouldn’t buy even one of these in a normal store because they’d be much more expensive. Thrifting is incredible!

I Poshmark the best pants. Their plaid high waisted so soft and they have a jogger ankle. They are going to get loved this fall/winter. I know you prefer local thrifting but for a coat I use Poshmark and thread up. Just because I can narrow down what I am looking for.

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and just thrifted the most BEAUTIFUL Sage muted blue green button up shirt (breastfeeding!), a super old school beautiful basket for my baby girl’s room, and a floral collared shirt that I know retails for around $300. Can confirm because my hubby used to be in men’s clothing and his friend still is and owns a store. I almost bought the other color way 2 years ago of it. Instead I got it for $5.99 because I guess the thrift store didn’t know it was a Stenström shirt was 😎
