Live testing of military equipment is the ideal situation,unfortunately for Ukraine, it is on the receiving end. I hope some level-headed politicians come in the Ukraine administration to help bring peaceful resolution to the situation. You not only have angry politicians to deal with you but also have an entire country that is angry against nato. Unfortunately, as I perceive it, there is a drought of politicians who know how volatile the situation has become and how to deal with them. Whatever happens in Ukraine has implications to the whole world, as at the current school of thought in Kyiv, it is unrealistic with intentions, unrealistic goals, and fighting a nation where the whole population is angry with you. Russian army had to stop recruitment,this says a lot about the actual mood of the country when their military stops recruitment as they accept they have more than enough people. This time, President Putin has not been conciliatory in his last speech at helicopter pilot training school. He has made it very clear that his country will go on high nuclear alert in case of F16 deployment and any other country hosting F16 will also be a target( their areas of operations hosting F16) or words to this effect
