It is painful to see but you gotta remember on her state shes been slowly inching out of the marriage, this is a guy who was really devoted and in love with his wife for a decade and a half and suddenly was blindsided. Sometimes its just the shock value, even if he had been fixed there's a good chance he would've left after he had more time to digest and reflect on this. It's human nature that during loss we don't want that we desperately try to hold on to our sense of normalcy. Ultimately, different people have different fight or flight responses as it were, his was just an extreme fight to avoid the pain. Towards the end you can see he begins to finally unravel the fog he was stuck in as well, and recognizes that was was just a toxic PoS. That even after she came out way better, it was never enough for her.

Therapist should have their license revoked. They’re not supposed to take sides or give their opinions on things.

Wife cheats, gaslights you, then literally goes back to the AP and has a baby with him while he's basically still married. How ridiculous...just leave cheaters, they never learn and they will realize sooner or later they had a good married life and threw it all away. They'll be crying on their death bed about it or when they're old and you get the last laugh.

You can't fix a relationship with someone that have no respect for you and treat you like a doormat.

Nah see tho. I do house chores and my house us pretty big. If you told me all i had to do was house chores and someone would bring in money i wouldnt complain. Now if your telling me to do both (work and do house work) thats where we have a problem. Another thing is how men go to work, come home and are expected to do house chores. Now if its helping with kids, thats fair but house chores is odd. At that point she should also get some kind of job.
