After 10 years in prison for a life of destruction, I chose to create | Barry Yeow | TEDxNTU
After spending his life behind bars for gang, robbery and drug-related offences, for more than decade. Barry Yeow had his poignant moments inside the prison and chose to transform himself into an artist. His transforming story also brought reconciliation between him and his family.
Barry spent most of his early years in and out of prison. His first brush with the law was at the age of 11. Barry was later addicted to drugs and he was last sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in the year 2008. It was then that he encountered arts.Today, Barry is a full time artist and his artwork continues to allow him to share his life's story in various places.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

I am truly glad for him though I do not know him. Must be a very tough climb back to real living again with the vibrancy he is eluding now. Barry, there is always hope in God. He never forsakes nor abandones those who have come to the end of everything. Truly you have gotten your PHD in the fullest. Pardon. Heal. Deliver. God's richest blessings.
