Interesting story and funny story about the monocle. Dragon's Dogma being more based than it is. But I gotta say that Eve Online was ahead if it's time, now all these companies are doing microtransactions. Maybe not selling one item for $70, but buying all the microtransactions equal that amount or even more than that amount.

and star citizen also had a monocle thing but to get it you have to spend like 10k in game or something like that, it is a status thing i guess just like rich had them back in the day

Not in game right now so I'm not 100% sure if my Pawn is still using it or not at level... I want to say level 118? 119? Around there. If not, I do know she was using it for a very long time as I couldn't find a good replacement headgear for a while. Either they had really bad stats compared to it, OR turned her bald when the headgear was put on... which I'm not going to go for.

if i use the monocle it's purely for the looks. once you start upgrading your gear it falls back fast.

well as a new player that only started playing due to DD2 trailer and finding this item is almost useless, I see this as un absolute win and also 321k G free

It's an exploit. Not a glitch. It's completely intended. But there is the moonbeam door glitch

If this were a western dev, that may have some merit. Capcom VERY rarely throws references out for other games, especially Western ones, and EVE isn't even in the same wheelhouse for DD. They usually reference their own games, Japanese games, or Japanese culture, or sometimes popular Western culture(by 'Western', it's just mostly US culture really). Capcom referencing Eve Online of all things, just to make fun of overpriced DLC, seems like a pretty long stretch.

Wrong, it’s is for when you want to do 10 mage/199 sorcerer, make it to the castle at 10, and then need to find 36.4 gold for 2 Common Archistaves. Assuming you are using the recent editions that give it to you for free near the beginning.
