@@TheAtingaProject awesome to know. Thank you
Over 30 years ago, my first job was to stitch uppers for a shoe making company. We used to make soles from the used tires. I am opening a studio for my kids and will teach them how we did it.
Replace the rubber bottoms on Jordan's with the tire rubber 🤣😂 would never have to buy a pair of Jordan's again. This so awesome
47 years ago we, in the U.S. Army in RVN, called these Ho Chi Minh sandles...
I work in a tire retreading shop and we have a bunch of tread left over on a daily basis. Depending on the tread design the depth can go from 8/32nds to 30/32nds. I’ve always had the thought that someone out there would be able to use them for anything. Now that I watched this video I feel that if the people that make these shoes would make a wonderful use of the tread ends. If anyone would be able to help me get an address so I can ship a package of material across the world I would totally do it. God bless you all!

Me encantaría hacer sandalias creo que es una forma maravillosa de cuidar el planeta reutilizando los desechos de neumáticos yo me apunto
I'm actually going to try to make my own. I love tire shoes. Mom used to buy them when we were kids from some company.. Sadly I don't remember the name. We would get so mad because they wouldn't wear out and us girls wanted new ones lol. There wonderfully comfy and durable. I have buying shoes that don't last. Making tire shoes in different styles will be perfect for my lifestyle. Blessings for providing shoes to everyone!

Far outclasses anything we make here for are shoes. For similar prices here in America, we pay for shoes made from foam and plastics. I'd much rather pay for something that is much more durable like what these craftsmen sell at the cost of lighter weight. The world should adopt this idea to use tire treads for all types of shoes, it'd save so much waste, give more jobs, and would actually make a much higher quality piece of footwear that should last a lifetime. I love this idea, and I may buy a couple pairs right now.

Ryan, we hope you liked your pair. The best way to get a great pair is by attending festivals we attend and letting us custom-fit them to your feet. We would love to hear from you about festivals in your area, state, and region (local community or other art/themed festivals). It's usually the small ones where we do the best. Let us know via email or message! Thanks, -Chris Founder
SUPER VIDEO-thank you, why don't you now show us hot to cut the tyres into 'shoe soles', and what kind of glue to use to stick the tyre cut shoe soles to the shoes! it will save us all a lot of money, and could be the start of a new business for you and your mates!
I'd love to know more about this please

I find handmade products to be of greater quality as machine production values quantity over quality. Additionally I'd rather have my money go to pay for school fees than a CEO
Im from Philippine. How can i purchase your sandals?
this is super cool and good for Re purpusing but I fear one thing. ive heard you can get cancer from old tires. ive heard play ground and sports terf spacificly peaple have come down with cancers possibley because of oil from the roads absorbed into the body idk Id hope not I love the recycling idea!!!

You are too modest- these shoes are so much BETTER than current commercial shoes, which barely last several months, if one walks more. Tires cn take so much more wight and beating than lousy materials they use for shoes today, even expensive shoes such as KEENS.
I will walk many miles...they look unbreakable. Why not not export them to Europe...I will buy them and pay the normal price that I will pay in Europe for the same shoes !!!

Sounds like a eco-friendly project but I have my doubts. I am used to light sandals. Those tire sandals look heavy and uncomfortable.

Be careful in using this sandal because ,if you step on a person, the Bureau of Land Transportation will deal with you accordingly.
All they're going to do is still you guys ideas and market off of them and give you guys nothing
