I won't even lie some Nigerian parents are just too much, they are really particular about names ..😅😂 pronouncing different tribal names in Nigeria by other different Nigerian is pretty hard or difficult . More reasons why most parents have the baptismal names in English for easy pronouncing mostly used in schools or offices.. the when u are at home or in the hood.. I are typically refer or addressed by it tribal names

I understand why people can do that…but personally i can’t change my name for nothing in the world. It’s who i am. If i change it, i can’t be myself anymore. But I’m also older now so i can see it that way. The younger me probably will think like that kid. It’s just easier sometimes to fit in. And child just want to belong

My second name is so unique l am probably the only one in Zimbabwe with it. When people find out l get curious looks (and some people hint at that it should be awkward…but I’m proud of it). Manyaya which translates to “plenty stories”

Its the way Amwrica is shown to us(sagging, talking bad to elders gangs etc), just like Africa is shown to you( hunger, flies, tribal wars etc). Thars wjy channels such as yours are necessary.
