SubhaanaAllah! I love all the precious pioneers. My mother became muslim in 1955 in Camden, N.J. My mother was a Baptist and her grandmother who raised her and lived to the age of 104 told my mother that she had found the right religion. And she was a Baptist. Ya see? Most of the older Christians know. My father also became Muslim and brought many to the faith with his powerful way of speaking to people.May Allah Grant my mom and Dad Al Jannah Firdous.

Wow a great Message by a great and noble teacher: Late Imam Warith Deen Mohammad ( May Allah /God grant him paradise . Forgive him all his shortcomings ). Simple . Yet PROFOUND. " " I always believe that if we Recognize Good and Support Good , WE get nothing but GOOD.from it." Thank You Humanities DC for sharing . Wnderful interviewer and Wonderful members interviewed. Something positve and truly depicted about Muslims and Islam , instead of the usual hate venom spitted by the maninstream media upon Islam and Muslims.

I wish the interviewer had prefaced that the video was on the Nation of Islam and difference. However, perhaps she's unaware. This can be very misleading because many people think that black Muslims are in the Nation of Islam and this is not true. Not to say anything bad about the nation, but it is extremely evidently and drastically different than Orthodox Islam. I could tell by the first woman that she was in the nation because what she was seeking and what questions she was asking would have most likely not be what orthodox muslims seek in their journey out of Christianity.

“Why can’t we turn Black?” I like myself!” ALLLAHu AKBAR!! I had the same similar thinking as this Beautiful sister when I was a child. I liked myself. And most of the women in family on both my Mother’s and Father’s side were Beautiful dark skinned women like this Beautiful Pioneer. My father was even darker than my Mother. And me being born after my Mother’s side of the family had become members of the Nation of Islam I have Never Ever had a problem with the Beautiful dark skin tone that ALLAH, the Most High created us in. I love it and I’m married to a Beautiful West African wife who is darker than me. As Salaam Alaikum!!

This comment is directed to the Imam; it behooves me to say that The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was more than a great social reformer. He was a unique economist, a pragmatic educator, a military scientist, a sensible dietician/nutritionist, a somber moral redeemer, and a maker of men. On the other hand, as Dr. John Henrike Clarke pointed out, if Mr. Muhammad had tried to utilize Sunni Islam to attract Black Americans, he would not have been successful. The Ahmadiyah Muslims tried before him, and most should know that they are shunned by the Sunni Ummah. If it were not for The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and Malcolm’s defection, Sunni Islam would not be an entity today. By the way, the Muslimahs were/are magnificent.

Elijah Pool could've easily utilized TRUE ISLAM (so called Sunni Islam) to attract the African folks in America. He simply was not educated enough to do so bro. As I and hundreds of us do today we give da'wah across the country in poor and middle class neighborhoods and in prisons. People want truth and not nonsense taught in the Nation of Islam! Black empowerment could've still been used while teaching traditional Islam, so stop with the excuses for Elijah Pool. He created generations of folks who were confused until his son broke rank to follow the Sunnah of Allah ta ala Azwajl. Arabic is an African language, so this could have easily been taught as part of the Black nationalism movement bro. The Nation definitely IS NOT ISLAMIC. Talking about Allah came down in the form of a man! Astaghfir Allah Azeem! Trying to turn Islam into Christianity is Wickedness!

You are disrespectful, and Sunni Islamic narrow. Even Wallace, Mr. Muhammad's son, and other objective scholars have pointed out the psychological, historical, and cultural reasons/explanations for the basis of the Nation of Islam. I refuse to engage you any further. However, if you were open-minded enough, there would be no need for me to respond to your repetitive Islamic narrowness. As a matter of fact, I should not have responded/replied at all. Go eat some lamb!

pFusion Technologies Your biased perspective has narrowed your understanding and historical knowledge of the centuries old condition of African captives in America. However, I will say this in closing, Africans in America subscribe to Sunni Islam, but to what extent has it ameliorated their situation as a whole?

James Miller > What is Shirk? Allah doesn't forgive His creation (human beings) for acts of Shirk! Saying Fard Muhammad was God incarnate is Shirk Akbar! That message is one which only came from Satan, period! Allah would Never become His creation. What a foolish concept of paganism to adopt into the Nation of Hislam.

Blacks need to read this before they leave Jesus the son of God. These facts of history reveal that Islam does not worship the same God worshipped by Christians. Why? Christians worship one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But Islam denies the Holy Trinity and worships a different deity called Allah who is not a Father and who has no son. Since the religion found in the Bible teaches the Trinity, then it does not take a Ph.D. to see that Islam did not come from the Bible. Thus it is not the religion of the biblical prophets, apostles or Jesus. Ex Muslims join us to help expose the lies of Islam. And please stay away from the cult of Islam. Jesus loves you.
