Growing up I was enthralled by Mr. Robeson's wonderful voice. As a young man, exploring history I was excited to learn that that wonderful strong voice shut down some of the excesses of the House Unamerican Comittee. As an old man, I was delighted to find his testimony on KZread. That is how I discovered his intellect! Paul Robeson has been an inspiration throughout my entire life! Thank you!

Paul Robeson Jr was only two generations removed from slavery! From this hideous institution sprang the giant known as Paul Robeson. A greater renaissance man than the actual men of the renaissance. An athlete, orator, lawyer, singer and champion for every plight of the human condition. This great power had a counterpoint in a gentle forgiving nature. A generosity of spirit that should not have existed given what he encountered. Like the glorious Jackie Robinson the embodiment of every quality known to man.

I have keen interest to hear great black African Americans who were greats in their times but we're racially unsung. I was listening to the BBC radio when I learned about Paul Robeson Sr. The schollar, musician, athlet, Activist. Great man.

Thank you for this wonderful post in learning more about one of my all time greatest human beings. I travelled to the Uk in 2006 and wanted to visit St Paul’s Cathedral in London to purposely stand on the spot where Paul Roberson stood and sang as I had seen a photograph of him doing so… cheers from Australia.

I am an orator and philosopher and I have always believed Paul Robeson Jr. was one of the best orators of the 20th century. If you have ever heard him give a speech you know what I'm talking about. Great thinker as well.

I am a Jew with a white skin. I don't often use the word "love", but love, and a strong one, is what I feel when it comes to Paul Robeson. He was a great human being who combined courage and talent to the highest degree. As much as I am a Jew, I am an African-American in my entire mind.

Paul Robson was an IGBO descendant. His guts and intelligence comes from them. This is no hidden history. Use your google to find out. Remeber the word..."IGBO".. GOD bless all the African diaspora of IGBO descent. May the soul of our son Paul Robson rest in perfect peace.

I'm an old white guy and Paul Robeson is one of my heroes. His activism and advocating for justice resulted in the ugly racist fascist America to be on full display. Paul Robeson was crushed by the cruel capitalist racist America.

What was the great Paul Robeson.? 1) An intellectual of highest order. Topped the class undergraduate level. A lawyer. 2) Star Athlete: Football player. 3) Great Actor and great Singer. Mesmerising Acting .In theater and film. Songs of such great magnitude that certain tyrannous governments banned his songs, such was his impactful singer. 4) Activist : Demanding Human rights and Human dignity for all human beings, from those in power and not Giving due dignity to those in Minority. 5). Great teacher and Mentor . Mentored greats leaders like Harry Belafonte, who sponsored MLK jr ,his activities and Marches. ( The authorities thought they disabled Paul Robison by suspending his passport for 8 yrs and disabling him from singing. He disabled the authorities by Mentoring the young A.A.to become greater leaders going even beyond him and he thus multiplied rather clonned himself to many mores Pauls) So now the Answer is All of the above. 🙂

For the same reason the FBI is vilifying his goddaughter by saying I'm an FSB Major. He was Antifa- first and foremost. So was his son, so am I. Paul Robeson, Jr. used to explain to me that fascism and racism and White Supremacy were one and the same. And since 2014 Uncle Paul and I are totally on the same page.
