Jesus Christ, I'm not even a big AFI fan but if that man isn't one of the best showmen I've ever seen perform live. His vocals are spot on. Too many singers vocals suffer in live performance, I'm almost tempted to say he sounds better here than the recording, and his screams most certainly are.

They were alright, the held scream towards the end he just cupped the mic and that can make any scream sound deeper and louder

I'm not talking about the fry's, his screams sound like they have a lot more balls to them than they did in the recording. Do you do vocals or are you one of those leftover metalcore kids circa 2005 that thinks the only really screams are frys?

he's correct. a sucking -- or as you say "inhaling" -- technique. I'm suggesting this as a singer who has done bonafide screaming as well as "inhaling."

@@brassattacks2411 I notice all performers don’t really do high sounds. I assume they don’t want to ruin their vocals and i bet it gets too repetitive having to do that for every show.

For a while I worried that Davey stopped the screams and growls. This makes me ridiculously happy.

Maybe it’s just me but I think his scream vocals sound REALLY good compared to some past years

Usually lead singers in rock/punk bands who have used screams in there songs, usually that’s the first thing to decline when you get older but his lows & high pitch screams are still solid & almost sound even better today!

Sometimes I purposefully don't learn to play a song because after I learn it just ruins the song for me. Almost like the magical and intricate part of listing the song goes away. I can never imagine being a band and playing the same songs for years.

Yeah....backwards. Daaaamn, they look younger now than in the OG makeup. When this dropped, the “emo” label was mostly for middle/high school - I was in my mid-20s and we just appreciated it as the then-version of alt-rock. But HOLY SHIT this 2019 v of him is ridiculously fucking hot and I would’ve killed to be at that show just to salivate in person. 🤤🥰🤘🏼
