This is one of those songs. The Bass really keeps the whole Song together! Definitely shows how important Bass is. Love how some bands do this.

Hunter is a very talented bass player. He can write and perform very difficult parts if he needs to. I admire the fact that, as a bass player, he knows his place. Whether it’s with regards to the mix or the composition, he picks his battles carefully. Few bass players know when to step it up or take a seat and I find Hunter does a great job at that.

@@jeremybridge9296 Yes there is, it's "Venandi" which means hunter in latin. It implies you need to attack your bass with your fist.

They're identical. All my transcriptions of songs that have an official bass track available (Love Like Winter, Leaving Song Pt II, Miss Murder, Beautiful Thieves, Totalimmortal) are all identical. The only difference is that I might play the same note on a different string.

After looking at the official Rocksmith bass tab for this, the difference is there are slides on every octave on D, there's an extra 0/7 chord but it is muted, and 2:45 is notated as 9 that hammerons to 10 played twice

EJSjjh thanks for the feedback. The rocksmith transcription you’re comparing it to wasn’t used note for note. One reason is that Rocksmith transcriptions are just some random guy’s interpretation (and not official). I used the bass track that’s release and transcribed it from there. The notes are correct, but there are an abundance of hammer-ons I do in the recording that aren’t shown in the tablature. At the end of the day it comes down to “feel” and what “feels” right. I appreciate the feedback tho.

The numbers correspond to the fret. Each line represents a string. The lowest line is for the lowest string (tone-wise). Good luck!
