I saw AFI open for Danzig back in 2000 while they were doing a Samhain reunion and one the last songs they did was Last Caress together. Still one of my favorite shows to date.

For real man. I don’t think people realize how cool of a punk band AFI was….

I love old AFI. I don't like the direction the band went down but I still enjoy listening to the old stuff. At least I got that.

album 2 and 3 were the best. in hindsight black sails is kind of cheesy and a failed experiment. art of drowning might have been the peak. sing had good moments but then yeah a steep decline

@@devanwoodruff7289 he can sing just as "hard" but not like he used to. his voice is different after growing up and being in the career for so long. as well as change in certain tastes... we change as we grow. they are a totally different band, but they are still great at what they do. i wouldn't say they went downhill, they just don't play what you like anymore. at least, not on record. glad they still play lots of old songs, and the really good ones too. keeping that alive, because it's all still AFI. his voice has changed so much but for it to change to what it is now, is honestly impressive
