Obviously this is an earlier version of what became Girl's Not Grey. The instrumentation and structure are very similar, though the lyrics and vocals are vastly different. Still a great song!

Have yet to hear any bands that have come close to sounding like them.

Had to start it over just to hear that guitar behind Davey's voice near the beginning.

Strangely, I love it, although it's a short song... there just isn't enough new AFI anymore... I need more to sink my teeth into. Really though, I like the change, it wasn't at all like Love like Winter at all, more like some Sing the Sorrow stuff, which is what I've been DYING TO HEAR! Thanks for posting this!

Agreed, the opening riff is a variation of Girls Not Grey, but I don't mind cause it sounds good in the context of the song. I think this song was written during StS but just wasn't recorded, cause it reminds me almost of songs like TCD and Paper Airplanes. Whatever, it's a kickass song.

No problem! Yeah, they're currently recording. Hunter's already done with all the bass parts! But, they had an amazing contest, and 6 fans are being flown to cali to record with them :). Luckylucky. Anyway, hopefully they'll finish soon, but you never know haha.

i agree with you fully willp521. afi was my favorite band for 2 years. and i still think that sing the sorrow was my favorite album and still is out of any band to listen to. im a die-hard fan and i cant wait for 2009 :] whats your fave album

I agree with you. it kills me when they compare AFI with Aiden or MCR! its all these little girls, that make me cringe. They weren't there when AFI were at their best (IMO).

the intro does sound a lot like girls not grey and the rest feels like it belongs in sing the sorrow much better and much more afi like than carcinogen crush

Davey said that for political reasons, they couldn't release it. 1 of the songs that was supposed to be on the EP was just released. (Fainting Spells)

Sing The Sorrow is probably their worst album. I'm not saying quality wise, but look at what came right before it. Black Sails was so good and unique, and then Art of Drowning built on that, and got cleaner. Everything before that was amazing. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of this band, and This Celluloid Dream is my favorite song of all time, I just don't thing STS was a very strong step for them musically.

BMTH SUCK. Listen to real death metal. Like Death. Or Morbid Angel. Or anything else.
