Meanwhile the US and UK led the damn charge and have spent the most amount of taxpayers money for a war that resulted in us losing and probably supplying the Taliban for a couple of decades. Jimmy Carter created this mess, by in 1979 initiating a multibillion-dollar CIA covert operation to arm, train and equip the Taliban to fight the Soviets. In doing so he assured the Taliban’s ascendency, along with the spread of radical Islam into central Asia,

@@annaannan6840 Two points. First, arming them at the time was a good thing cos it harmed the Soviets. Eventually, under Reagan, the Soviets were losing several dollars (I don't remember the exact number, it was quoted in the book 'Charlie Wilson's War') for every dollar CIA and the Saudies spent (the Saudies matched the American spending). This worsened the economic situation in USSR and may have contributed to the ascendance of Gorbachev. That was a very good value for money and one of the rare occassions when the taxpayers' dollars were put to good use. Second, Carter did not send troops to Afghanistan, did not engage in nation building, did not introduce quotas for women in the Afghan army and parliament, and so on, and so on.

Both Blair & Bush were (& are) in thrall to Israel, the IsraelLobby is the strongest lobby in Parliament by a huge margin, stronger even than oil. The whole Iraq mess was down to Israel, from the CIA putting Hussein into position to the war to remove him. Israel is a constructed country, it's population is gathered from across the world, the internal factions are impossible to keep from each other's throats without the entire region being unstable so the politicians can spin it as a constant threat. (Don't forget Orwell's '1984' was published the same year Israel was created). Biden is in thrall to Israel too, Afghanistan was trashed so Israel can say to it's people "look over there, don't look at your neighbours"

I think the media is owned by the same people who want to keep Britain a USA lapdog, and keep our economy closely linked with USA banks/ international bankers/ war machine, encouraging people to live in greed and debt, as why doesn't the media ever remind people of how Afghanistan wasn't extremist until the USA were arming and training them in Afghanistan against Russia? Then the USA didn't care what was going on in Afghanistan after their involvement, such as ancient Buddhist statues being blown up and females banned from education, for years before 9/11. Now we also support and sell arms to Saudi Arabia, where women and other religions don't have full human rights. While we're arming extremists to overthrow Assad in Syria. Syria was one of the few middle east countries with many religions that live together in peace, with ancient Christian communities who still speak Aramaic. Yet we arm extremists in Syria because the USA doesn't like it Assad is a friend of Russia, and Russia speaks against the hypocrisy of the USA and Britain supporting Saudi Arabia, while overthrowing leaders in other nations. I think Britain is quite a brainwashed nation. Especially since the 80s, when the Tory government did the opposite of Germany by making millions unemployed and left Britain and economy closely linked with USA banks encouraging everybody live in greed and debt. For the economy to crash every few years when many can't pay back the debts they're encouraged to live on. When British tourists were shot in Tunisia and blown up in Manchester by extremists trained in Libya after Gaddafi, what media reminded the people of how the secret service whistle blower David Shayler told how Thatcher was using British money to go along with the USA funding Al Qaeda in Libya against Gaddafi? A country people didn't pay household bills, while more old British people were dy ing of the cold than before Tories stole and sold off public owned energy.

Why are so many British people are brainwashed by Tory propaganda? Is it because the media is owned by the same people who want to keep us a USA lapdog? Why do people go on about Blair and Iraq, but completely ignore the many previous years of Tories turning us into a USA state, so we didn't have any choice, which is why more Tory MPs voted yes to the 2nd war than MPs from other parties? Like when John Major committed us to staying the 2nd largest force in the region after 1st Iraq war, after the USA blew up tanks of British soldiers in the 1st Iraq war? That's why USA born Boris Johnson can talk nonsense, and no media tells the people. Like when the media made a massive fuss when Boris said a dumb unimportant comment on a TV show, but the media didn't say anything when Boris said on the same TV show that there wasn't a vote on the 2nd war against Iraq, when more Tory MPs had voted yes. That means either Boris puts on a clown act to get away with blaming others for what Tories cause and the media is in with him, or Boris is stupid and the only point in the media is to dumb down society by constantly forcing talentless celeb's in our faces. No wonder nobody cares our lives are still in danger from previous actions of Tories to make us a USA lapdog. Like when the secret service whistle blower David Shayler told how Thatcher was using British money to go along with the USA funding Al Qaeda in Libya against Gaddafi. That was while more old British people were dying of the cold than before Tories stole and sold off public owned energy. It wasn't until Tony Blair came into power, that he helped stop old people dying of the cold with the old weather payments. When British tourists were shot in Tunisia by extremists from Libya after Gaddafi, no media reminded people Tories funded the extremists with our money, while taking away money from vital services.

Because of the situation, the number of deaths and infections there are not being reported. The little data that is recorded is very skewed. Also, they all wear masks and clothing which cover their faces. Plus there's the being shot in the face for being outside your home and not a Taliban member. I suspect that's probably stopping the numbers from escalating. Then there's the fact no one other than reporters has traveled to Afghanistan for years, because let's admit it, who wants to go to Afghanistan? They're clearly not immune.

I have several problems with this. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. It’s had no WMD and the West knew that. In fact both US and U.K. governments lied to their own parliaments and sexed up intelligence to make the case. But Blair still went in with the US. Yes the Taliban we’re awful once in power. But they were seen as hero’s before them because they stopped the civil war. Afghanistan had zero to do with 9/11. Valid still followed the US in to invading that country. Yes, Bin Laden and Al Queda were harboured in Afghanistan. But -5 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals. Not one was Afghan. Also the Taliban were themselves a product of the US/Pakistan/ Saudi Arabia money, training and ideology from the early 1980’s. Blair knew this also. But still, against his own people, still invaded.

@@feverpitch82 yep, Afghanistan was in 1979 a quite westernised and modern country. Women could vote, wear dresses, go to school, to the movies….. Then CIA wanted to prevent Soviet from expanding and therefore decided to build, train and arm a “small” group of Afghan rebels that were strong believers in Islam (The Talibans). The CIA encouraged their extremists religious beliefs and gave them huge amounts of money and enough weapons to fight of the Soviet. The CIA then helped the Talibans defeat the Afghan government ( that was to friendly towards Soviet ) and installed them as the new leaders of Afganistan. The women lost all their rights, movies was burned to the ground, girls wasn’t allowed in school, women wasn’t allowed to leave the home unaccompanied. People were stoned, had their limbs cut of ………… The CIA then left the country that after the “civil “ war had become dirt poor. Some of radical psychopaths blamed US for the poverty (rightfully?) and sometime later the terrorism started to grow closer to the West. After 9/11 2001 the US finally decided to go back to Afganistan. They took back the power from the CIA-created Talibans and created a new Afganistan government. The women got their human rights back (at least in city areas) and could once again go to school, were dresses and didn’t have to fear being stoned to death for example, committing the crime of letting themselves get raped… But the US/West didn’t manage to completely defeat the Talibans, whom kept the power over the more rural areas. The US/West are now once again abandoning the Afghan women and are giving the power back to the by CIA created radical group of Talibans… It’s not just incompetence……..

Leave the debate on Iraq for another day, separate issue, Blair here is well spoken and speaks the truth.
