Actually the concept of akhand bharat is still relevant today.....not by merging all countries into one and defining new boundaries but by strategic cooperation among nations of indian subcontinent like the model of EU. Actually if India was never divided then first biggest state would have been bengal which included Assam odisha bihar bengal amd Bangladesh second would be punjab third Balochistan and fourth rajasthan. Total punjab was around 357,075 sq km and bengal was 565265 sq km.

Assam was never a part of Bengal in ancient time also. In ancient times Assam was known as Pragjyotish pur. Later, it was known as Kamrup. N now it is known as Assam.

Iam not talking about culturally but they did had same chief and all.
