Hey Rob, great comparison video...I was surprised at the B58 as well...hmmm....that is my favorite live mic....good scoop on The Slates...they sound great...I think I have that AT also...but lately ive been living on my SM7 in part cause it is on a blue desk boom and so easy to crank through the vocals while at my desk...thanks for the data!

I have been wanting an sm7 for a while but the slate dynamic has an emulation and it sounds awesome! Although having that desk boom for it would certainly be nice

@@RobCarrollMusic Ahhh, I put a link to blue boom and YT erased my comment...ugh....anywho, super impressed with the Slate....the straight up version without emulation sounds FAB all by itself.......this is the name of the boom I was raving about....blue microphones compass desk-mounted boom arm....super sturdy...warning....whatever mic you put on it may be the only one you end up using....the convenience of swinging that thing into place and hitting the record button is amazing....Rock on Bro

ps....sm7 needs an extender piece, if you go that route....Mary Spender has the same set up on her desk....familiar with her YT channel?
